The .125 is Rover mun,...he's been nipping on there when you've been sloshed out of your mind....which is pretty often, judging by the spelling problems. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Bob You have brought up something there that has always puzzled me about keyboards ,why are the letters written in a mixed up way and not in the correct order of the alphabet ABCDEF etc etc......
BTW I think I may be the .125 on your site as my family often say I am not a full Hundred per cent in the head .LOL

Glad to hear your sites doing so well Bob old mate, pehraps those .125 visitors were midgets from the Circus? I`ll pop in there again myself when I leave here. Gravedigger I`d forgotten you had a site mate(tho now you`ve mentioned it I do remember seeing it back in the old days on the site that Clueless doesn't like us to mention ) If everybody else seems to have one perhaps I should get my own site too.I could call it Lambs Tales or something like that (I have a funny feeling somebody else has already used that title tho!lol)

Bob I have just tried three times to post a message in your guest book without success . All that has happened is that 3 brown boxes have come up at the top of the guest book messages like the ones that use to be on your old guest book. I think my computer must be out of date as I often have problems on your site and this one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried it out too and like Beacon Girl said you`ve got problems Bob mate.I scrolled down the page and Fluffy`s message and the ones before it are fine, but it looks as if every message posted since then is coming out above your page title instead of below it. From what little I know from my own site I`d say that the code for your guestbook has gone a bit wobbly. Not that I`m a world expert on the subject(you can probably tell that from my use of technical terms like wobbly! )Only 2 people have ever signed my guestbook(one of those was you Bob)and that was nearly a year ago.I don`t get many visitors,I guess people just don`t find Graveyards all that entertaining

Bob,I had another quick look at your site yesterday and I saw that your counter had reached the high 120`s. You`re doing a lot better than me Bob m8,after seeing your counter last week I decided to install one on my own site.So far,in around 5 days,it has amassed the magnificent total of 2 visitors(and I think one of them was the Fluff) Is it me I wonder(Have I maybe got BO or something?)Or do people simply not like the subject matter?I feel quite depressed

Oh B****r it!I see that one of my photos and Fluffy's signature have gone again.I don`t understand it,I know the sign says remote linking to free accounts is forbidden, but in that case why don`t ALL the pictures vanish? Both mine and the Fluffs pictures and signatures are stored on my website, soif linking to my site is not allowed how come the warning doesn`t come up on all of them at the same time?Either they`re all illegal or they aren`t,but this lot can`t seem to make up their minds (Maybe I should send somebody along to reason with them? )

Don`t know if it`s spirits(bottled or otherwise)but something funny seems to be happening on my site too! When I checked it on Friday the counter had shot up from 2 to 7 and I thought WAW!I`ve become popular at last But when I looked at it again on Saturday it had dropped right back down to 2 Somebody must have visited sometime between Saturday and Sunday as by yesterday it had risen to 3 again, but I don`t know who it was as they didn`t leave any message. It now reads 4 because Larry paid me a call last night(thanks m8)but I`d still like to know what happened to those 4 visitors who mysteriously disappeared?????????

BG, if you click on the little house icon next to the reply and other icons on each posting it should lead you to his site. Those icons are only supposed to appear if you've actually GOT your own site and it's address is listed in your profile details, but for some unknown reason EVERYBODY seems to have a 'Home' icon, including you, Moonraker, Fussy and so on ! (It must be that ****** Poltergeist at work again !) Obviously in your cases it won't lead you anywhere because you haven't got any Homepages to go to, but The Gravediggers should work O.K. as long as his details are up to date.

I don't really know WHY those little 'Home' icons keep coming up on people who haven't GOT a Homepage ! I've got rid of them umpteen times in the past, but they keep on re-appearing after a while. It's not a major catastrophe or anything, but it IS irritating.

Beacon Girl and Clueless thanks for posting in my Guestbook.Yes ladies I did used to have a page with photos but I accidentally lost it last year which sort of discouraged me a bit. I AM going to have another go at the site whenever I get a spare moment.I`ve got a lot of little photos stored in my files but they got mixed up too and so now I don`t know where they were all taken. Maybe I should run one of those quizzes like they do in the newspapers where they print a page of photos and ask the readers to write in and say where they are, with a prize for whoever gets the most right.(Altho somehow I don`t think I`d have people rushing to enter if the only prize I could offer them was a day in a cemetary!lol )

I've been having trouble myself, especially with this particular thread, but the whole site's been acting oddly today. When I tried to look in earlier on the entire bottom part of the opening page was missing and there was a strange message, I can't remember the eact wording, but it was something about 'so-and-so is either truncated or does not exist'! So I gave up and decided to try again later. (I also notice that both Gravedigger and Fluffy's photos AND signatures have disappeared now !)

Ladies, thought I`d pop in before bedtime to let you know that I`ve posted a few photos on my site today. It took me b***** ages because the site seems to be playing up something terrible today.I`d get them on there and think I was all done, but then they`d disappear again,or turn up on the wrong part of the page,OR on umpteen parts of the page!At one time I had the same photo in 4 different places at once.Still haven`t finished it,but you can have a look at them if you`re bored enough and have got nothing else to do!Lol I`m sorry I can`t tell you where they are,but all the captions got lost so I can`t remember myself.Maybe if I stare at them long enough I`ll get divine inspiration and recognise some of the places.Or if any of you lot have travelled around and think you know where any of them are YOU can tell ME

The trouble with most of those photos is that they were aquired from various places over time, mostly from other people, and I can`t remember where they all came from originally.I think I recognise soem of the places but I`m not 100% certain. I have got quite a nice collection of photos of churches from different parts of the country tho, that some of you might find interesting. We`re not doing much over the next couple of days so I`ll have to send Fluffy down into the crypt to search them out(well she IS a Gopher,it`s her job to `go fer` things!Lol )then with a bit of luck maybe I can start transferring them on to my site.Like everyone keeps on telling me,that site has been dead for far too long!FOFLMAO

I agree with what my m8 Bob says(or at least,I agree with the parts of it that I understood!FOFL )these 2cuk sites really can be a pain in the a**e at times. They don`t seem to retain information for some reason. You spend a lot of time changing things and adding new stuff, only to look in again a few days later and find that it`s all reverted to the way it was before you altered it.It can drive a body nuts! Anyhow, this is just a quick word to tell you that I have,at long last, got stuck in to doing some work on the old site again.Only managed to do 4 photos so far,but then,Rome wasn`t built in a day!(as some silly b*****s once said!Lol I`ll do a few more tomorrow and who knows, one day it might even turn into a site worth looking at.

TG, Not that I'm atall pleased that your site is playing-up so to speak,...I sympathise with you for that......But it does confirm that our Clueless has also had a hammering, with this site driving her bonkers. And also, Bob has had his ups and Downs (excuse the pun) Ho! Ho! Ho! What's the matter with these perishing sites,...you'd think that in this day and age the IT buffs would have got it airtight by now. I thought about trying my hand at running a site some time ago, alas...I'm too old in the napper now, so I'll leave it to you couragious lot. Perhaps I'd do better if I took part in the London Marathon next year. Ho! Ho! Ho!

BG, That is amazing....3 years old in /45, and you have a vague picture of going down to the cellar at that time. The only unusual thing I can remember when I was that age,..was my brother putting a basin on my head and cutting my hair, using the shape of the basin as a guide. Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Can you imagine that happening today? So, if my calculations are correct you are fully entitled to call our Bob...a 'youngster'....by being 6 years his senior. So, watch it Bob, and don't cheek your elders. Ho! Ho!

I often wonder if some of the things we recall about are young days are not things we actually remember , but it is a case of our families have talked about these times so much as we are growing up and that is what we remember not the actual event .

My earliest memories are of the end of the war. Food was rationed, but I never went without. My Grandfather had an allotment and kept pigs, chickens, ducks and geese. We had eggs, vegetables and meat for all the family. I can remember days when he killed the chickens and pigs. The chickens were hung by their feet on a long clothes line and my grandfather used to make a cut under their tongues, then let them bleed into old zinc baths. When they were dead, their heads were cut off and then cleaned and plucked by the women. The pigs had a similar fate. I had the fright of my life one day when he cut the head of a cockeral and dropped it on the floor. The cockeral then ran around the yard without his head. I just ran, and did not stop till I got to our house.
Then I remember V.E. Day. I then lived in Gilfach Goch and the village had a V.E.Day bonfire and party. I was walking up to the bonfire and as I turned around the corner someone with a guy looking like Hitler confronted me. Needing new under pants comes to mind. That was the end of the party for me. I ran home and would not come out till daylight the following day.

I can remember when I must have only been about 8 going to buy beer , as opposite my grandmothers house was what they then called a beer shop ,it was also a general grocers . They use to sell milk stout and beer straight out of the barrel ,I use to be sent over with a jug to get two pints for my uncle who lived with my gran and I would be in big trouble if I tipped a single drop on the way back .As my reward I was given a few coppers to go back and get myself a bottle of cream soda and a bag of mint humbugs . That would never be allowed these days would it selling drink to young children .

Talk of milk stout reminds me of "Mackeson Stout". I used to love that. Do they still sell it?? I haven't seen it for years.
