Well the only difference I can see between here and there is 'T'!
The answer to 'Who could it be' is Winstone Churchill.
Don't know the last one though. I think I've heard the Ravens one, but it's slipped my mind.

Only phrase I can come up with for the second one is ON THE ONE HAND. Don't know if it's the right one though ? (The right phrase that is, not the right hand ! LOL !)
And the bird is a Flamingo !

What is a Mobius Strip ? Well, it's a bit like a Doughnut, but one with a twist in the middle ! LOL ! I tried to explain it over on that 'other' site last year, but it's not that easy to convey it in words (I got in almost as much of a twist as the strip ! ) So here's a link to a website that illustrates one for you instead:-

You can come and stay as long as Moonraker comes and cooks one of his breakfast specials
I thought the quiz was a bit tough, Nice easy one for today to unwind a it's almost the weekend! Anyone doing anything interesting this weekend? I'm gonna tidy the house & garden and maybe take the dog for a nice long walk.

Who Could it Be? - ANSWER
His career began as a director and consultant for mining companies, about which he wrote a textbook. During World War I, he oversaw relief efforts in Europe, and aided American citizens in their return to the United States. A year after he was elected president, the stock market crashed and many people thought him ineffectual in dealing with the Depression. In 1932, he lost the presidency to Franklin Roosevelt by a large margin of votes. President Truman had him supervise famine relief during World War II. Who Could It Be? Herbert Hoover
Who Could it Be?
At the age of 11, he went to live on the streets of Philadelphia after a fight with his father. He began a vaudeville career as a juggler and as a silent movie star. I was just about to say the same thing about the house BG, but you beat me to it ! Only £100,000 for an EIGHT-bedroomed house ? I'd say that was DEFINITELY a misprint (or else it was just the rent they were asking for it ! LOL !) It would be hard to find a two-bedroomed bungalow for under £150,00 and they are selling wooden chalets not far from here for £72,500 !

Ok Thought this afternoon quiz could be sport as us girlie seem to be leaving the men behind. LOL (Don’t worry girls it’s not that hard I wouldn’t sabotage our chances that easily)
HOW MANY?
1 In billiards, a cannon is worth how many?
2 How many players are there in a netball team?
3 What is the maximum number of seconds a boxer is allowed in his corner under BBBC rules?
4 How many pawns are there on a chessboard at the start of a game?
5 In his final test innings how many runs did Donald Bradman score?
BG will let Moonraker borrow your book. He's just making up the answers.
6 How many players are there in the court during a volleyball match?
7 How many darts are necessary to ‘check out’ from 301?
8 How many of Frank Bruno’s first 30 fights lasted the distance?
9 How many golf balls are there on the moon?
10 How many counters are there on a backgammon board at the start of a game?

Oh well. I was having an early night anyway.
Here's a few to puzzle over you drink your Horlicks
P.J. PUZZLERS
Joe loves to create confusion. One Tuesday he sent an e-mail memo to his secretary that said, "I'll be back in the office three days before one week after the day after tomorrow." When would he be back?
John had dinner the other night with his only sibling's husband's mother-in-law's only daughter-in-law. With whom did he dine?
John wrote the name of a certain U.S. state on a sheet of paper in all capital letters. He then turned his page upside down and looked at it in a mirror. It read exactly as he had written it. What is the name of the state that he wrote? Nite Nite !
Di :-0 (that's me yawning I'm tired today)

I am picking the mud out of my nails now!
Garden looks lovely and we have a small water feature. (Charlie Dummock eat your heart out LOL)
I'm sorry guys no quiz tonight I have been far too busy to prepare it and we haven't had any tea yet.

Princess Di Sounds like you have been really busy in your garden. We have been out gardening all day today too .Some of you may remember I asked for suggestions as to what to put in my rockery .Well it has now turned into a raised bed by rearranging all the rocks they look a bit lop sided but they will do .I have bought 2 sacks of daffodils to put in there , should look nice in the spring .

That could be Dawn ?
How many letters are in the alphabet?
Well that depends, if it's a straightforward question then it's obviously 26. But if it's a trick question then I'd guess at 11.
Only thought of two words ending in 'dous' so far---Stupendous and Horrendous. I'll have a think about the other two.
