Is anybody out there an expert on the things ? As I told BG in a text-message last week, I recently bought one for myself(I got it on eBay) but at the moment it's not much use to me as it's so high that I'd need arms like Guy the Gorilla in order to use the keyboard in comfort !
It says in the description that it's adjustable and goes round and round and up and down, so far I've had no trouble with the round and round part (in fact it's gone round so much it's made me feel quite dizzy !) but I can't figure out the 'ups and downs' of it at all. So before I end up like Quasimodo from trying to lean down to the keyboard, can ANYBODY tell me how to adjust the height of the d*** thing, PLEASE ?

Glad to hear you have got yourself a computer chair ,you will find it much more comfortable to work at your computer now ,much better for your back than an ordinary chair .
If it is similar to mine you will find there is a handle underneath the seat that you push up and down to higher and lower the seat .
With mine you have to sit on the seat to operate the handle .Hope this helps it is hard to explain . |

You are spot-on there. You have explained quite clearly to Pauline...how to adjust the seat. Few people realise that you have to sit on the thing when using the lever.

FOFL Oops sorry about that Pauline I forgot to mention that it goes down with a bump .
Remember you have to raise your bm of the seat to get it to go up again ,don't want you shooting out of it like it is an ejector seat and hitting your head on the ceiling . |

Thanks, but I think the seat height is O.K. where it is now, so I won't try changing it again (I don't want bruises in any more places  )
All I have to do now is try to get the back adjusted, then move some of these boxes of photos. etc. off the floor so that I can wheel myself a bit closer to the desk and I'll be fine |

Surely a bar stool is a bit high for a computer desk ,or do you have a low down bar .
You will end up with a bad back when you are older bending over all the time .
Computer chairs are great ,my grand children love spinning round and round on them ,they drive me nuts . |

That website may be very good for someone that understands it ,but I'm afraid I do not understand a word of it .
The E.mail I was on about was one I received this morning from your Mobile I believe . It was a photo of a baby who the baby is I do not know . .I got the E.Mail three times infact .
It was definately not sent last year by the looks of it ,but then it may have been trapped in my computer somewhere . |

| I'm not sure what they've got passing for a computer chairin this place but it looks like an old recycled tractor seat to me(feels like one too)and the computer could do with a spot of oiling as well because it's moving slower than a snail on sedatives.If you ask me everything in this place needs replacing but the owners too mean to fork out the dosh(and just between you and me,his mush could do with replacing too!!FOFL) |

No, you haven't got rid of me yet. I'm having what you can call...a torrid time between phoning here and phoning there, and getting nowhere.
After all the perishing problems of late, I was eventually contacted by a senior techi' at AOL this evening. He has discovered that the ADSL line at BT is at fault, and that I should be back to normal by Friday 5pm.
Now...would you believe that!!! The annoying thing about all this is...I had already checked with BT a couple of weeks ago and was told that the line was OK.
WHO do you believe eh??????????

I'm still being driven bonkers too. I tried to get on-line earlier but no connection AGAIN. So I went and opened a parcel, came back in here and tried again and got connected first time with no bother at all !IT IS WEIRD !
Fussy, I'm afraid I don't know what E-mails you're talking about either, I haven't sent you any E-mails at all I tried to reply to the one you sent me last week, but it got stuck in my Outbox when my connection went 'wobbly' again.

Oh, this is SO b***** frustrating ! I'm STILL getting sent right back to the front page after every post, then it takes me AGES to get back in here again. Considering that Broadband is supposed to be umpteen times faster than dial-up I think they've got a cheek charging me for this, it's no faster than it was before (in fact I'd say it's slower at the moment) and for over 50% of the time I can't get in AT ALL. No wonder I'm tearing my hair out !
Sorry BG, I was so annoyed at this computer I didn't take in what you'd said in your message at first. Sorry about that, a Funeral is not the nicest of reasons for a trip back to Wales. |

I must say you have a very posh cellar ...wallpapered !!! the cellar I had in one of the old houses I lived in was dark dank and generally horrible .It was just a home for spiders .
I do know of people that have made their cellars into music rooms or childrens play rooms and very nice they are too . |
