Hey!!! aaaaf a mo mun! I haven't even thought about deserting a sinking ship. Now you know what it's like to have to talk to yourself when Fuss is not around.
I've been very very busy this last week,...setting up a 32" TV and a Recorder, also have had a bit of a cold as well, and I didn't fancy climbing these ruddy stairs to my pad up here,...so I sent one of my grandsons up to check for any messages,...and what do you think he said when he came back down! He said.... there's a bloke on there whose a dunce, he can't spell for toffee, he just types a lot of gibberish, he sounds as if he never went to school.
Ho! Ho! Ho! He laughed out loud when I told him that he had a ferret named Rover who typed perfectly.

I thought I was right about some type of transmitter in your area.
Ours is here in Kilvey Hill and the switch-over takes place tomorrow, so I'll be pretty busy 'cos we've got 3 sets to re-tune, and I wouldn't mind betting that there'll be some bloomin' snags. |

I've just been re-tuning our Tellys and I've had a few problems, but I was expecting a few snags anyway. Our main telly is OK but the other two are a bit touchy, like.... I wish I had a German technician to sort things out for me. I like the Germans, they are the cleverest engineers on earth. One can't dislike a German just because of the antics of a blithering idiot and his cronys. What say you, Bob! |

Was your father treated well when he was a POW in Bridgend? I knew a couple of Germans who stayed on and married local girls in N Emlyn.
One of them was a car mechanic, and he used to service my Austin Big 7 that I had in those days. The bill used to be about 7 shillings and 6 pence. Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! Ho! You'd probably get a tap washer for that money today. |
