Fussy You can never believe what these companies tell you over the phone !!!! Get it written down in black and white is the only way.Although you usually have to write a few letters before they respond to you. We phoned and ordered a new TV control box and they said we would get it in a week ,that was two weeks ago and we are still waiting.
This worlds gone to pot. |

Yes you are right BG. You can never trust word of mouth from any of these people. Well, we'll see how it goes.
I agree,...the world has gone to pot as you say. And have you noticed how bloomin' hopeless it is to phone most companies these days. Press 1, press 2, press 3 and then maybe a hell of a long wait before you get someone to talk to, and very often you CANNOT get any live body to get things sorted out, and the clock is ticking over and your call jumps up to a ridiculous amount.
And how about the little 13 year old dad then! Yabba Dabba Doo!
And kids as young as 5 drinking Lagers. What the hell next!!!
Hope you are both feeling better. I'd better post this now, in case. |

Sounds as if everybody's been under the weather We've had the flu here, felt pretty rough for a while, but we're feeling a lot better now (touch wood)
You keep at them about yor broadband Fussy m8, these people think they can get away with anything. They make US sign contracts and if we don't stick to their rules and regulations they're down on us like a ton of bricks, but when the shoes on the other foot it's a different story, THEY can break all their promises and treat us like dirt and they expect us to put up with it all. They're a load of ******** |

Some funny goings-on again Fussy m8 I looked in here around 20 minutes ago and there were no new posts since yesterday, but now there's this one from you that says it was posted at 12.04 - over 2 hours ago - so why couldn't I see it 20 minutes ago ? Looks as if either the gremlins or polty are at work again |

Yeah, some funny goings-on again TG, but that's nothing new, eh! Still, I can cope with the odd glitch on here, but when my b****y broadband keeps collapsing without warning, I start cursing like a wild, out of control maniac. Ho! Ho! Ho! |

Well, it looks as if the problems have been solved BG,... had a good supply yesterday, 6 hours without any interference, and I left my PC on stand-by from 9 o'clock last night to this very minute and it's still on. So, I hope the thing is sorted out, at last. |

I've left my computer on all night last night and the night before, and...what do you think happened?
The broadband stayed alive THROUGHOUT. Now THAT IS something to write home about,............innit!!! Think I'll leave the little beggar on indefinitely.

Ooooooh! I'm not going to leave the little beggar on 24/7,...oh no. I'm just going to test the little devil to see if it cuts off atall during the 24 hours. I'll leave it on all the time for a whole week, to see if the little beggar gets a sudden heart attack, like the little slug had on and off during the last couple of years on my 'puter.
BTW, some PC experts say that it is better to leave the computer on all the time, because it doesn't like being switched on and off every day, 'cos it gets the heebie-jeebies in its belly. Trouble is,...it would cost too much pennies to keep it switched on indefinitely, and I would have to go without...'you know what, and I certainly won't go without THAT...that's for sure! Ho! Ho! Ho! |

A friend gave me a bottle of Irish Country Cream last Christmas, and I tasted it for the first time today. It's very nice, but it's not in the same league as...you know what! It's something similar, but that's about all. It hasn't got that oomph that Bailey's got. |

We use to leave our computer on all the time ,then someone told me it uses a lot of electric so it all gets switched off.
We have tried other versions of Whiskey and cream drinks but none of them can beat Baileys ,we tried the Mint chocolate Baileys that our daughter hsd but we did not like it at all. |

Yeah, that is the trouble...if you leave the thing on 24/7 for a whole year, your electricity bill will frighten the daylights out of you.
No, there's nothing to beat the good old Baileys! It's way out on its own.
BTW, where is our Bob I wonder? Hope he hasn't emigrated. Hope his arm is OK by now. It's a wonder that Rover hasn't posted one of his special messages by now, innit. |

Well, this is almost unbelievable, this broadband has kept alive for over a week now, it has never ever kept breathing as long as this since 2003,...that means I have had intolerable supply for 5 years, and it hurts to think that we have paid for all that lousy on-and-off broadband for all that time.
Still, let's hope it keeps going as good as it is at present. |

That's good Fussy, but don't speak too soon cause usually once we say some thing is working fine it breaks down again.
How is the weather there today it a horrid wet and very windy day here. The past two days I have managed to get out and clear up some of the winter debris from the garden ,was hoping to finish it today but no chance of that now. |

Ooooooh, its a ghastly day here today, cold and wet, and everything looks drab. But it had a good side as well,...a blackbird settled on our garden fence a few yards from our kitchen door and he sang and sang there for about ten minutes, in the rain. We stood there inside the door and enjoyed his rendition of La Traviata. I love the old blackbird, and innit funny how he sits in the same spot for minutes on end, whistling away without a care in the world. We see Mrs blackbird too, but not as often her mate.
Yeah, you are right BG,...I mustn't brag the old broadband too much, because as sure as eggs are eggs, he'll be up to his tricks again sometime soon. |

A motorist's car radiator boiled over so he set out on foot towards a small farm he'd noticed about a mile back. The farmer obligingly filled a large watering-can for him. Do you want a deposit on the can? asked the motorist. The farmer thought for a moment and then said, 'Well, not if you're going to return it.'

A motorist rounded a sharp corner rather fast and ran over a large dog. There was a farmhouse nearby and he knocked on the door which was opened by the farmer's wife. I'm terribly sorry, he said. I've run over your dog. I'll replace him, of course. Well, I don't know, said the farmer's wife. Are you any good at catching rats?

'ow're iw doin Fussy? Well, fairish like I suppose. The weather is not too bad, and the flowers are peeping through in the garden, and this broadband is behaving itself so far. But I'm annoyed at that woman flinging that green custard into that minister's face. If she did that in a place like Dubai she'd soon regret it, not that I agree with the punishments dished out in that part of the world. Stupid woman!
I can sense a touch of Spring in the air,...only a touch, but this blackbird in our garden is a sure sign. He's so chirpy he outsings Paul Potts. Ho! Ho! Ho! |

Well we have our pair of Blackbirds back again, they are starting to build a nest in the hedge so with a bit of kuck we should see some young ones again this year. Hope the magpies don't get them like they did a couple of years ago.

Flipping heck I tried to sign in here few minutes ago and was chucked out so fast I almost did myself an injury Do you think somebody's trying to tell me something
Weather's been bleeding awful here, yesterday we had torrential rain and gale-force winds, but today's not too bad, it's very cold, but the sun is shining and at least it's stopped raining (for a bit anyway, probably won't last long though)
By the way Beacon Girl, what's a bit of kuck It sounds a little bit rude, Lol |

Had an e-mail from AOL today asking me to download the latest 'super improvement' connection, which is supposed to make a faster, smoother connection. Now, this isn't the first time I've received this kind of promise from AOL so I am not atall confident of there being a resounding improvement. Anyway I've downloaded the thing,....but I am not dancing with joy....that's for sure, because these people are always full of Eastern promise. I'll soon tell if they keep to their boastful promise. |

Right then Bob I'll yap to you M8. Have you got broadband, or are you on dial up? And are you able to get Google Street. I've just been walking down Canon St and around the cenotaph, and had a walk through the park, and then up Cwmdare Hill to my old abode. Hells bells, it's a different world to what it was when I trudged around Dare Inn and up to the old Penrhiwllech. I think I'd get lost up there these days. How's the old arm M8? Think I'll become a politician Bob,...I'd be a wealthy old codger in no time atall,...claiming this and claiming that, eh!

Mind, I was only pretending to walk down Canon St and around the cenotaph and through the park, 'cos I don't suppose that Aberdare's streets have been filmed yet,.....all of Swansea has got the Street View now. |

Got my blood test results this morning,...all clear, no problems! Thank goodness for that. Ho! Ho! Ho!....I'm on fire now!
Just been watching telly,...oooooh, nasty goings-on in London as protesters smash their way into the RBS, and make one hell of a mess. |

'ow're iw doin Fussy? Not too bad like, you know! Felt a bit rough a couple of weeks ago but I'm up and running now. Quiet on here, innit. Have to talk to myself again I suppose,...talking to oneself can drive one off his rocker so I hope I don't get to that stage of my life...not yet, anyway! At least, the weather has changed for the better, it's a lovely sunny day here today. But where have all the birds gone to? I've just seen two sparrows and our resident blackbird this week,...he sits on a perch in our garden and doesn't move for ten minutes or more, singing away. He's a super songster. Well, I hope someone turns up here soon 'cos this loneliness can drive me to double my intake of Baileys. Ho! Ho! Ho! |

Hi Guys! So you're alright then, Fussy? My middlest just had her checkup. Seems she'll do for another year. We celebrated by going to her favourite fast food: Wendy's. She had a burger and fries.. yuk!.. and I had broccoli cheese jacket potato and a salad. YUM!
We had a really nice day here around lunch time, but it went all hazy and is now supposed to rain for a day and a half. I'm waiting on those flowers. |

Hi crazynance! Nice to know that you and yours are all keeping well. Yeah, I'm fine....Had a check-up for blood pressure a few days ago, and all's well and I hope it stays that way. I'd had a spell of...feeling one degree under for a couple of weeks so I had a word with doc' 'cos I thought maybe my intake of Baileys was causing me to feel tired, but when I told him that I only had a tot once or twice a week and that a 1 litre bottle lasted me at least four months he just laughed. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Funny,...I've never fancied a jacket potato, but I'd sink a salad any day of the week, and my salad must have two or three spring-onions chopped up and sprinkled with sugar and vinegar. Try it! Yum Yum!
Take care, and don't forget the 'seven.'

Yeah, I guess you are right Bob,...the amount of Baileys I sink does me more good than bad. Get your Adobe sorted out M8 and you will be able to lurk around all the streets and back gardens in the area after they've filmed it. If you leave Rover out in your back yard I'll be able to spot your hideaway. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Can anyone help? I've had an e-mail yesterday, the subject being:- Important Notice. Avoiding infection of Conficker/Downadup Worm.
Now, I've been caught once before by opening e-mails that I don't recognise so I wonder if anyone else has had a similar e-mail,...if so did it appear to be genuine, or did it...WORM it's way on to your PC? |

Hells Bells, don't tell me that I've missed Larry again! We've been to my daughter's house since this morning, and on the way back I said to my son-in-law put your foot down 'cos I must catch Larry before he leaves. It's now ten past five and I hope he hasn't gone, cos it must be very disappointing for him, after journeying for a chat. |

How do folks, bit late today are'nt I, it's these lighter evenings confusing me Glad to hear your tests did'nt show up anything nasty Fussy m8 I agree with Bob, do'nt go giving up the Baileys, I always believe in the saying 'A little of what you fancy does you good'. (As long as you do'nt fancy the barmaid and the missis finds out LOl )
Ca'nt say I know much (or anything in fact) about computer viruses myself. I just come in , sit in front of the computer and type my messages, how the thing works is a complete mystery to me |

No, I'm no expert on the technical side of computers either, that's why I'm afraid to open the e-mail. I was caught once before when I opened an e-mail the b****y thing pinched all my saved e-mails from 2003. |

'ow're iw doin Fussy?....Not too bad like, you know! I'm having a quiet Good Friday. It belted down this morning but it's been a lovely sunny afternoon. Our resident blackbird has been very vocal again today. I timed him while he perched himself on our garden fence,...14 minutes of non-stop singing, a classic high pitched tenor,...there's no doubt about it, he's a super songster. Well, my better-half has been making Welshcakes this afternoon, so I'm off now for a spot of tea, and I'm sure I'll sink at least 4 welshcakes, and even maybe more. Yum yum! |

Happy Easter to you too Fussy I was thinking of you this morning when I saw a Bailey's Easter Egg. Will your better half be buying you one of those I'm hoping for a Black Magic one myself (I hope Fluffy's listening ) I wonder what sort our Bob likes I don't think they make beer flavoured Easter Eggs Bob |

Ooooooh, I never thought about a Baileys Easter egg. I'll mention it to my better-half this afternoon. I might strike lucky. Ho! Ho!
Good grief, can you imagine our Bob sipping a Baileys? If he changed his habits and took to the original Irish Cream whiskey, his spelling might improve. Ho! Ho! Ho! |

Oh I dunno Fussy, a lot of people seem to be living to 100 and even longer these days. I'm nowhere near there myself yet, but I feel it sometimes, especially when I have to be out in a cold wet field at 5'o'clock on a dark winter morning |
