I was sat in my armchair when it suddenly lifted about 2 inches off the floor, at about 2.30pm, yesterday.

Hi Larry.
This is my second attempt at sending you a message. I hope it's going to work, then I shall probably be able to chat with you next Sunday pal. Goodness knows what went wrong these last few weeks. My password was refused 5 times, and then yesterday it was accepted.
It's a funny old world!

Hi Larry. Well, I hope I've sorted out the damn problem of the site not accepting my password. My password has been the same for years, so let's hope it doesn't mess up our little chat on here again or I'll go bonkers.
I e-mailed Pauline asking her to let you know that I may not be able to chat to you anymore, but after I sorted it out I e-mailed her again last Tuesday to tell you that I'd sorted it out.
AS you can see above I'm sending you this weeks chat on Saturday night because I am away tomorrow at a birthday party of one of our Family. The weather forecast for next week is a bit of a shocker, it's going to be bitterly cold...minus this and minus that, so I hope you'll have your long-johns on. We are lucky here in Swansea, no snow in the city, except for places like Penllergaer or Ravenhill.
I had an e-mail from Pauline, not just a few words, but more like a book, telling me all about her recent trip to hospital, and news about how she's coping with Megan and Molly, and how the weather is in the Sardis area. She certainly is having a hilarious time with both pets. Thank goodness she's got those two to keep a smile on her face, they are so funny.
Right then, go get the bag, I've got 2 lots for you this week, to add last Sunday's lot. Here goes, Blwmp blwmp, 2 Guinness's, and here's 8 Teasers, and now for...2 After Eights. I can see smiles on their faces, for having such a lot of tweets.
Take care pal, I will post this now and I hope you'll get it.

A very good afternoon to you Fussy Very glad that your back with us again, I was worried that I was going to end up talking to myself for weeks on end again, but hearing from you has cheered me up no end

Yea the weather forecast for the next week is looking very chilly, well below freezing at times. It's been freezing here at times this past week too, the sun's been shining quite a lot so it looks nice from inside, but when you step outside the door you soon find out that it's not as nice and warm as it looks Still at least it hasn't rained since the beginning of last week, so that's something to be grateful for

Pauline's been having some ups and downs lately, between her health and things going wrong around the house, and I think sometimes those dogs are more of a hindrance than a help, saw on her facebook page last week that the little devils had chewed through the cable of her new Hoover But with faces like theirs I'm sure she did'nt stay mad at them for long

Did you hear on the news last week about that rescue dog with a deformed leg, who is now running around with a 3d printed leg made by a firm in Swansea ? I hav'n't got the foggiest idea what 3d printers are let alone how they work, all this modern technology goes way over my head, but is'nt it bloody marvellous what science can do these days

Oh well, time to drop in on facebook now, thanks for all the treats this week, including the extras Hope you enjoy yourself at the birthday party. See you next week all being well

Hi Larry. Well, I'm b****y annoyed about someone having tampered with my Facebook message to Pauline a few days ago. Some ignorant waster added emogis to my message to Pauline which I had sent her to let her know how lovely her and Megan and Molly looked out in the snow. Some b*****d was able to put the emogis in my message which could have hurt Pauline. It was definitely put in my message much later than when I posted it to her, because I checked it several hours after I posted it to her, to see if she had posted me a reply, and there were NO emogis in my posting then. So some b****r was able to enter them without leaving his or her's name. So we don't know who it was,...not yet anyway.
Have to be a semi shortie today pal, I've got a bit of a cold, and sore throat. What a lousy week last week, we even had an inch of snow here in our little patch. And I honestly can't remember such bitter cold for years. You must have found it hellishly cold in the early mornings.
Right, off you go for the bag. Here goes, Blwmp,..it's a Guinness again. They didn't have Teasers this week so we got them 4 Minstrels.
And, it's After Eights again for you know who. Hope you caught the lot.
Take care pal, hope it warms up a little for you, especially in the early mornings.
I'd love to know who that b*****d was who tampered with my posting on Facebook. UGH!!!

Argh, this site is moving very slowly today, I thought for a while that I was'nt going to get in at all and even after I managed to sign in it's still taking ages to move from one page to the next Maybe it's got frostbite from the cold weather we've been having

Ooh that does'nt sound good about facebook Fussy I wonder how somebody managed to post something under your name. Does anybody else know your password ? If it was'nt that then it sounds as if you were hacked I sometimes get these messages that pop up asking me if I've checked my security settings, but I've never really paid much attention to them, I'm only on there once a week and I have'nt got a lot of personal information on there, so there's a not a lot anybody could find out about me if they were planning on robbing me -- and even if they did it would'nt be worth their while, the amount I've got in the bank at the moment would'nt buy them much more than a fish and chip supper and a cup of tea But even so, it's worrying to think that somebody might be able to get into your account and change what you'd written, or maybe post something nasty to somebody using your name

Sorry to hear your under the wether Fussy (in more ways than one ) hope you'll be feeling better soon. We've had a BIT of snow here too, but I do'nt think it was more than a foot deep Well it was'nt that deep everywhere, but it was pretty deep in the diches and along the hedges where the wind had whipped it into drifts. And yes, it was b****y cold I had three pairs of socks on and a couple of thick jumpers under my jacket, but I still nearly froze I don't remember it ever being that cold before. I hear it was pretty cold back in 1962/63 but U was'nt born then, and I was only 10 in the big snow of 1982, so I probably was'nt all that bothered about the cold back then, too busy throwing snowballs and sliding down hills on an old tray I expect It's been a much nicer day today, but according to the weather forecast it.s not going to last long, they're promising us rain for the next couple of weeks, and rain is even worse than snow in some ways

Oh well, time for my trek across to facebook again. Thanks for the choccies and the Guinness (that'll warm my cockles up on this cold day ) Stay indoors and keep warm until your cold and sore throat are better. See you next week (if we do'nt have a flood before then )

Hi Larry. Not so cold now but still a bit wintry innit, won't be long before the Spring will be here, so that will make life a bit easier for you, especially about 6 in the mornings.
Hells Bells, that was a hell of an attack on that Russian and his daughter wasn't it, and the sickening fact that the Police Sgt who went to help is also infected with the deadly stuff. And who knows, it may have affected others. As I've said many times before, I've never known in my 95 years, of so many terror attacks, wars, murders, knife attacks by youngsters, cruelty to children, and the ill treatment and unbelievable cruelty to our wonderful defenceless animals, it is sickening. I still believe the punishment for all these crimes is way off what it should be. And isn't it sad about the killing of that lady near St Clears, by a 16 year old.
Well, the mild cold and sore throat I had last week has disappeared and I'm 'kicking' again.

I'm back Larry.
Ho! Ho! Ho! That was funny, as I was chatting to you, there was a shout from down below ....your dinner is ready, so I had to make a quick trip back downstairs.
Anyway, still don't know who the 'yob' is who hacked my message to Pauline. What an idiot!
Did you manage to get about in your 4X4 when the weather was snowy and icy ten days ago? Was it very bad down your way? We had a couple of inches of snow here, but it only lasted a day.
Right then, go get the bag. Here goes Blwmp, it's a Budweiser this week, I forgot to get a couple of Guinness. Here's 4 Teasers and a mini box of Ferrero Rocher, mustn't let your better-half put on weight 'cos I'd get blamed for it. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Take care pal, go easy, you've got a hell of a long way to go yet.

Good afternoon Fussy on second thoughts I'll amend that to slightly good afternoon, because it's raining now so it's not all that good We had a fair bit of snow around here, it came down for a couple of days and after it stopped falling it hung around for a while in a few more sheltered spots. but the rain's finally washed it away now.

Glad to hear your cold and sore throat have cleared up I did notice your message posted in stereo Fussy, I was wondering if maybe you'd had a few too many sips of the Baileys (just for the cold of course ) and started seeing double

I had'nt heard that on the news, but a mate just told me what it was about, sounds frightening, it makes you wary of going anywhere these days, even if the attack was'nt meant for you you could still get in the way. The world's a bloody scary place sometimes.

Better pop across to Facebook now I suppose, I'm a bit late today, helped the kids make a special Mother's Day meal for the missis and then stayed to do the washing up afterwards (aren't I a good little Lamb ) so by the time that was done I was later than usual leaving the house Thanks for the Guinness, the Teasers and the Ferrero Rocher (an extra Mother's Day present ) Look after yourself and see you next week, barring blizzards, earthquakes or hurricanes

Only just noticed that the photo I posted on here back in February has diappeared I wonder who pinched that And I've also just noticed that the time on here has gone wrong again, says my first message was posted at 18.13, which ca'nt be right because it's only 17;23 now, so unless the clock on the wall here has stopped, or I've slept through two weeks and the clocks have gone forward when I was'nt looking I think the sites playing up again

Hi Larry. The Beast from the East is back then, but we don't seem to have had him here before this morning, when I had a peep outside our house at 4 o'clock this morning it was snowed over. He has attacked most of the UK again.
Well, as if we haven't had enough problems here in the UK, we now have another hell of a problem with the Russians who won't confess to having had something to do with the attacking of the ex spy and his daughter. Thank God the policeman who checked the spot where the attack took place is now reported to have recovered from the dangerous Nerve Agent.
I see that Pauline has got herself a new camera, so we can expect plenty of pics of Pemb's from now on, she has taken loads of pics of several parts of that area already, but she will be able to take classy pictures from now on, but she has taken some lovely pictures in the past anyway.
Well, this weather has caused thousands of holdups for hours and hours on the motorways and other roads, and loads of smashed up vehicles Larry. You would have had one hell of a time getting from A to B if you'd been working in the northern area.
Right then, go get it....the bag. Here goes, blwmp 1 Guinness, now for the 4 Teasers, Splwdge, and a small Ferrero Rocher dropped gently in case the lid came off.
Take care pal, hope there's no snow down your way.
BTW, nobody has confessed to hacking my message to Pauline, but I have a good guess who the culprit was. Ho! Ho! Ho! I'm not a dimwit!
Best wishes to all.
See you next week. Bet your 4X4 gets you where you want to go.

Afternoon folks, I keep meaning to pop in here more often, but I always seem to get distracted by something or other. I'm still trying to get used to my new camera Fussy, it's been a while since I had one with so many different settings and now that I'm getting on a bit it's taking me longer to memorise them all

Oh has the flipping time gone wonky on here again It happens every Spring and every Autumn doesn't it, must be because whatever country this forum's servers are in are in puts their clocks backwards and forward on a different date. I'll have a look at it before I sign out, but I'll probably have to change it again next week when our clocks go forward.

Fussy, that angry face emoji isn't in your actual message, it's under the photo where the "likes" for the photo are. Whoever clicked on it must have known your password (or else somebody sneaked in and used your computer when you weren't looking ) I wasn't really bothered though, I guessed it was just a mistake

It's snowing again here by the way, just very light at the moment though, but I've seen photos from friends in Aberdare and it looks quite heavy there

Well a very good afternoon to you Fussy and Pauline, nice to hear from both of you on the same day I think I should have started off with a very cold afternoon to you both, because there's nothing very good about it right now We've had more snow around here (but I have bravely battled my way through it to chat to you today ) But I do'nt mind the snow, it's the cold that really gets to you, I do'nt know what the actual temperature is but it's definately below freezing because all the puddles are frozen solid, and with the wind as well it feels even worse, it cuts right through your clothes no matter how many layers you've got on It's definately the sort of day when all brass monkeys should stay indoors by the fire

These attacks with chemicals like this nerve agent are quite scary because it's something that you can't see coming. At least you know what's going on when somebody attacks you with a gun or a knife and you can try to ward it off, but you can't see gases or chemicals which makes it more frightening, because you could get in the way and get hit by it even if it wasn't meant for you. I remember hearing about that Bulgarian many years ago who was killed by a poisoned umbrella tip, I was only a kid at the time but I remember hearing people talking about it. Anybody could be harmed by something like that if they just innocently got in the way, because who would suspect an umbrella of being lethal ?

Looking forward to seeing photos from Pauline's new camera Although the ones she's taken up to now have been fantastic anyway. I always think that if you've got an eye for it you can take good photos with anything and I definately HAVE'NT got an eye for it, you could give me the best camera in the world and the photos I took would still be rubbish

Time to pay my respects to facebook now, then home before the snow gets worse. Thanks for this weeks goodies Fussy and see you all nesy week I hope

Hi Larry. It's still a bit on the cold side innit, but I can sense the feel of Spring in the air now, this cold stuff can't go on for ever. The sunshine comes and goes some days. Even the birds come and go these last few months, but Liz keeps feeding them with seed, and they love the suet blocks which some contain meal worms, and some contain insects. They love them and go through about 3 in a week, they cost just under a pound each (which means poor Fussy has to cut down his love of Baileys) Ho! Ho! Ho! That's a lie!

Well, it goes on and on, the French have had another attack by these b****y IS yobs, and a police officer was killed whilst knowingly risking his life, what a shame eh!
Thank God that the French, Germans and the US are backing up the UK against the Russians in this sickening nerve agent method of murder of the spies. It never ends does it, there are killings every day throughout the world. And it's as low, as the fact that 12 and 14 year old youngsters are using knives and goodness knows what to attack others in this country of ours.

Oooh! Pauline is doing some clever photography with her new Nicon camera. You can bet your 'bottom dollar' ( that's an old saying of mine) that the Japanese are the Tops in electronics, cameras, TVs and other gadgets. She's had some super-duper pictures on Facebook.
Ok, off you go, get your catch-bag. Here goes, Blwmp,...a Guinness. Now for youngsters, Splitch...4 Teasers. And now for, your better-half, a carton of After Eights.
Take care pal, hope the weather gets a bit warmer for your trips in early mornings.
Adios Amigo!

How do Fussy Well it's not been a bad day here today, still a bit cold for this time of year but it's not raining and the suns been shining most of the time so that's an improvement and hopefully a REAL Spring is just around the corner now that the clocks have gone forward again

Yes, the news is bloody depressing lately is'nt it I really do'nt understand why these people have to be always fighting and killing, I accept that there are people in this world with different views, different beliefs, I don't want to go out and kill them all just because they do'nt agree with my opinions. I don't care whether anybody's white, black, brown, yellow or purple with little green spots on. I don't care id they're Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh, Atheists or even blooming Klingons. I accept everybody for what they are, so why the Hell ca'nt all these lunatics just accept each others differences and get on with their own lives in their own way and let other people get on with theirs, instead of all this bloody madness.

Yea Pauline's posted some fantastic photos on facebook, but she's always taken great photos no matter what sort of camera or phone she was using. I'm useless with a camera, just about every photo I've ever taken had people with body parts missing, mostly their heads The missis says I'm so good at chopping heads off they could have used me in the French revolution to operate the guillotine

Time to visit Facebook now I suppose, see what I've missed. After deciphering Bob's comment it sounds as if Pauline's met another one of those morons, luckily nobody's ever had a go at me, but then I'm not on there often so they probably do'nt even know I exist. If I ever did get some nut having a go at me though they'd soon find out that this Lamb can sometimes be a wolf in sheep's clothing -- I'd rip their throats out and feed them to the farm dogs

Thanks for the goodies Fussy, look after yourself and I'll see you next week

Hi Larry. Happy Easter to you and your family pal.
Well, the weather forecast is not good for this weekend, snow for parts of the UK, and heavy rain from this evening and tomorrow, but, but, but the forecasts have not always been spot-on so let's hope it's false.
Hope it doesn't snow in Carm's and Pemb's.
Moscow is panicking now, poking it's nose in to the West, and blaming this and blaming that, anything to cause an argument. Thank God that all those countries are on our side and blame the Russians for the 'b****y vile methods of killings by a nerve agent, which is the most dangerous system to the people of Salisbury as well as the couple, and the policeman (who is now clear of danger) and it is good news that the man's daughter is now free of danger. What a hell of a system of Killing, eh!
We've got visitors today, so maybe this will have to be a bit shorter than usual, but anyway I've been able to drop you a few lines at least.
Ho! Ho! Our Pauline seems to be having hilarious moments some of the evenings, sat with the company of her two best friends. What the hell is the thumping noises she hears banging the outside of her home?
I thought it could be a fox looking for something to scoff. What do you think it could be ? Funny it should happen with the lighting being on outside the house.
OK, Go get the bag. Here goes, Blwtch, it's the usual Guinness pal, now for 4 Teasers, Flip flop, and Yomp, it's a small Fierro Rocher for your 'better half'. Hope you caught the lot!
Take care pal, hope the L Rover is plodding along as usual, (without problems.)

And a Happy Easter to you too Fussy Bit disappointed in the weather though, we've had a couple of nice days in the past week so I hoped today would be nice too, it started off quite well this morning, but for the past few hours it's been raining and miserable We've had some really nice Easter weather in the past, but I suppose that's partly because it was later in the month, Easter's blooming early this year -- and on April Fool's Day as well, not sure that was a good idea, I've had the kids playing tricks on me all day

Yes this trouble with Russia is'nt good is it. They may have done away with all that communist stuff from the past but it seems that the government has'nt really changed that much, they're still sly and devious and I would'nt trust any of them as far as I could throw them. Hope they never read this website or they might come after me next (hopefully they wo'nt find out where I live ) but they seem to be too busy killing off each other half the time anyway. Why does half the world always seem to be so intent on destroying the other half ? I just do'nt understand why people just ca'nt get along. There are a lot of things out there that I do'nt agree with, but as long as people are friendly and do'nt harm any other living creature that's all that matters. I don't care about their colour or their religion, just as long as they're good people, that's all that matters to me.

Oh dear, so Pauline's had some more funny goings-on has she - sounds as if her poltergeist might be playing up again if I was here I think I'd contact one of those ghost investigation programmes on the telly to see if they could find anything, and after that I'd get the place exorcised

Oh well, time to drop in in facebook now I think, hope you have a nice time with your visitors. Thanks for the treats and look after yourself til next week

Hi Larry. Springtime is here, or at least it's just around the corner. Still a bit cold now and again, but not like it was a few weeks ago. Even the birds are back and eating the coconut and suet that Liz hangs up on the branches of small trees in our garden. During the recent cold weather we didn't see a single sparrow for about 3 months, now we have about a dozen of them each day.
Well, that is good news that the Russian and his daughter have improved rapidly. It's incredible that they survived that lethal nerve agent. I just heard on the TV, horrible news that hundreds of Syrians have been killed by a similar method of some lethal system, it was a horrible sight to see hundreds of screaming children being sprayed with water and being flung around screaming. Looks like another method of killing, similar to the nerve agent thing.
Would you believe it! My iPad was deactivated last Thursday by something to do with the Facebook argument that's going on. It said in the daily paper that over a million are affected in this country.
So I've got to sort that out now.
OK, go get the bag. Here goes, blwmp blwmp, two Guinness's today. And here's 4 Teasers for the 'gaffers', splish, hope you caught them. And here's a box of After Eights for, you know who.
That's it for today pal, hope you are all well as a family. Hope to be able to drop you a line or two again next Sunday
Take care.

How do Fussy. Well as you can see I'm very blooming late today Drove the missis to visit her friend who's birthday it is today and take her a present. Do'nt worry she said before we set out, we won't stay long - well all I can say is that her idea of not staying long and my idea of not staying long are a little bit different -- by about four flipping hours Anyway, she finally condescended to leave, so I've dumped her back home in front of the telly and driven down here as fast as the old rattle trap would let me, and here I am only about 2 hours late At least I made it before closing time, but next time she asks me to drive her somewhere I think I'll tell her to buy herself a bike

At least it was a nice day for driving, been lovely and sunny today, still a bit cool for the time of year, but hopefully we're slowly getting towards Spring and Summer.

How did facebook manage to deactivate your iPad I've been hearing about this privacy issue with facebook, but I do'nt think they're likely to find out anything useful about me. As you know, I only use the internet at weekends and then I only ever visit 2 or 3 websites at most. I do'nt bank online, do'nt use any websites where I have to give my financial details , and even if anybody ever managed to get into my bank account it would'nt do them a lot of good, they'd be lucky if they got enough money to buy themselves a bag of fish and chips

Oh well, better pop over to facebook now before heading home, I've still got to be up before the crack of danw tomorrow. Thanks for the goodies, take care and see you next week all being well.

Hi Larry. Spring is here, pal. It was a lovely day yesterday, and Liz and me will be able to go for a walk from now on, hope so anyway. We haven't had a walking trip together for about six months. It's rained again today, but the forecast is not too bad for the coming week.
The perishing Russians still deny use of chemical warfare, what a carry-on eh! It's one hell of a crisis innit, let's hope Mrs May gets the backing of the rest of her lot tomorrow.
I had my iPad returned yesterday after having been reactivated, a tricky job apparently, cost 30 smackers anyway. Hope the b****r keeps working now, cos it's handy for me to use downstairs for news, and Facebook and football results etc, saves me having to walk these 39 steps up to my computer,...37 steps actually, I call it 39 steps 'cos it sounds like the film 39 Steps, many years ago. Ho! Ho! Ho!
I notice that Pauline is busy with her photography, taking some lovely shots of Pemb's. And Bob is kicking his way around as well, I don't hear much about Rover though.
I've been worried about catching the b****Y flu this year, that Aussie Flu was said to be a nasty sod, so I haven't wandered about the town here atall, so I've escaped catching the damn thing, so far.
OK then, go get the bag then, Ho! Ho!" sounds funny doesn't it. Here goes...Blwmp, it's a Guinness again, and woof...it's 4 Teasers for the 'gaffers', and now for the special one,...plop, a large box of Ferrero Rocher,...tell her not to worry about putting on weight,...one choc every three to five days will be OK.
That's it for today pal. Hope to chat again next Sunday.
Take care, hope the old L Rover keeps trodding along.

Afternoon Fussy We've had a few nice days here too, yesterday was a bit mixed, didn't start out too good but it got better later. Not that great today, but still warmer than it's been. The forecast's looking much better from Wednesday, but their not always right so we'll just have to wait and see

Glad you got your iPad sorted out, I keep mixing up iPads and iPods, but my kids tell me that one's like a small laptop and the other one s a music player Maybe I should get myself one, save me having to trail all the way down here in all weathers. But I do'nt know if it would work all the way out here in the back of beyond -- I know one cottage not too far from us that has'nt even got electricity installed yet Besides, if I had one of them at home I would'nt have an excuse to pop down here every Sunday to have a drink and a natter with my mates

All these different types of flu do'nt seem to make their way out here - I expect it's too far for the germs to walk I always wonder how those flu jabs work though, when there are so many different sorts of flu around and they keep changing all the time

Yea Pauline's posted some great photos over the years, if I was still in Kilgetty I'd get her to give me a few lessons because I'm useless with a camera.

Better pay my respects to facebook now I suppose. Thank you for the treats. Oh, I just remembered that it's your birthday on the 18th, so happy birthday in advance, hope you have a lovely day. See you next week.

Hi Larry. Nice weather these past few days, better for your early morning 'wakey wakey'! Even the birds are back to normal and scoffing all the goodies that Liz spoils them with every day.
Well, I had a hilarious birthday last Wednesday, we had visitors from mid-day till 9 o'clock, so as you can guess there was fun and laughter till I was knackered after all the cuddles. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Well, one thing I know for a fact,...I certainly couldn't run the London Marathon today.
Our Pauline is fully occupied, with Meg and Moll ruling the roost. And she must be thrilled with the Nikon camera, she's done some super shots of parts of Pemb's. The mention of dogs reminds me of the TV programme on Ch4 of the absolutely brilliant Super Vet, he's Irish, his name is Fitzpatrick. The veterinary work he does is a technical method of amazing clever repairs to injured dogs and cats.
Right then, go get the bag. Here goes, Blwmp it's a Guinness again. Next, here goes Pppsh 4 Teasers, and now for the After Eights, Flop.
Take care pal, hope the old L Rover keeps plodding along.
See you next week,....I hope!

Glad you enjoyed your Birthday Fussy Maybe I should take up drinking Baileys as it seems to do wonders for keeping you feeling sprightly - I'm 68 next week and I feel 200 most of the time

I've had a lot of worry and upset lately, but it's a long story and I don't feel like going through it all at the moment, so I'll tell you about it later. I just thought I'd pop in here for a few minutes now to let you know that I'm still alive and kicking (Although recently I've been doing a lot of swearing as well )

We've had a few days of lovely weather this past week, lots of sunshine and really hot on a couple of day. Today's not too good though, it was raining earlier and overcast, rain's stopped now and the sun is struggling to come through, but it's still quite cold. I wish we could have a couple of weeks of dry, sunny weather to give this back garden a chance to dry out properly, it's been like a swampy lake through most of the Winter

Well I'm going to get something to eat now, I haven't eaten very much lately with all this worry. Oh well, at least I might lose a bit of weight, so there's always a bright side I suppose

Blimey! I do'nt know what's up with this page today but it's taking ages to move along, I signed in just before quarter past four and it's taken me over 20 flipping minutes to get this far I was beginning to think I'd never make it - I've seen 3-legged tortoises move faster

Anyway, I'm very pleased that I finally made it and happy to see both of you on here this week Glad you enjoyed your birthday Fussy but sorry to hear you've been having some upsets Pauline, hope it's not too serious and that you get it sorted out soon.

Weather's been much the same here, some lovely warm days last week, not so good this morning, but it's cleared up this afternoon and the sun's shining again. Still a bit chilly compared to last week though. Never mind, at least it's a sign that Spring is finally on the way, hopefully to be followed by a lovely Summer

Fussy M8, I do'nt think I could run the London Marathon ANY day A brisk walk I could manage but running 26 miles would definately finish me off I've always thought running was best left to dogs, horses and cheetahs

Better pay my respects to facebook now I suppose, thanks for this weeks goodies Fussy And Pauline, it's your birthday later this week is'nt it, before next Sunday anyway, so hope you have a very Happy Birthday (tell the dogs to make you a cake ) Be good everyone, and hopefully see you again next week

Just a quick visit to say thank you to Fussy and Bob for your gorgeous Birthday cards. I don't get very many these days -- even less this year because two people that usually send them to me forgot (I'll deal with them later ) but of the seven that I did get there were three that I really loved, and two of those were the ones you sent me, so thank you again And thank you to Larry too for your birthday messages.

I've got a headache at the moment, so I might go and lie down when Emmerdale's finished.

Hi Larry. Still funny old weather innit, sun and rain off and on each day. Never mind it will settle down to a bit of summer in a couple of weeks, hope so anyway. Hope it's going to be fine and sunny for the Royal Wedding, good grief it would be devastating if it was torrential rain and stormy winds.
Oh! my giddy-aunt isn't it heart breaking to know that there have been more than 50 deaths by knifing in the London area since the start of this year, after all the b****y killings in London last year alone, frightening innit. Well, bring back the death penalty, it would most certainly save the loss of many lives. These yobs using knives need to be warned about what the result would be, DEATH, that would make the b******s think.
Glad that Pauline enjoyed her birthday, and Meg and Molly certainly keep her happy with all their prancing around,...they seem to be a happy pair don't they. And Pauline has obviously enjoyed the Nikon camera, she's done some lovely shots of that area, and they are good sharp pic's.
Well, I managed again to 'climb' the 39 steps to spill a few words to you Larry, just to let you know that I'm still 'kicking' Ho! Ho! Ho!
Go get your bag. Here goes, Blwmp Blwmp, 2 Guinness's,...and here's 4 Minstrels, they'd sold out of Teasers,..Splosh. And now for a small Ferrero Rocher, got to be a small one 'cos she's probably weight watching. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Take care pal, keep the old Rover running.
See you next Sunday.

Howdy do Fussy yea the weather's been very changeable lately, sunshine one minute, rain the next, you take your coat off because your too hot and five minutes later your putting it back on again, either because your freezing cold or because it's started raining again, some days we seem to have had all four seasons in the space of 24 hours. But it ca'nt last for ever (at least I hope not) it's the 1st of May on Tuesday so hopefully things will start to pick up soon.

I think you might be right about the death penalty, as long as they do'nt make any mistakes like they did with Timothy Evans Those murders were before my time but I've seen the film 10 Rillington Place (that was before my time too but it was on the telly) and I also saw the more recent tv series. But with all the modern techniques the police have got these days hopefully their not likely to make the same mistakes again (although I would'nt bet on it) I've always thought that in some ways being locked up in prison for life with no hope of ever getting out would be worse than dying, but on the other hand it costs the country a fortune to keep those b******s in jail for years and years, and maybe just the threat of knowing that they could face the death penalty would make some of these low-lifes think twice about murder, so maybe it WOULD be a good idea to bring it back, (but only carry it out if their 100% positive beyond any shadow of a doubt, that they've got the right man).

Yea Pauline's taken some lovely photos with her new camera (but then, she took some great photos with her old camera and her phone camera too, she's obviously got the knack )

Time to pop over to facebook now I think. Thanks for the goodies this week -- the missis often SAYS she's going to go on a diet but it never lasts very long once she gets her hands on some chocs or other goodies Take care of yourselves, (hope your headache's better by now Pauline) see you all again next week all being well .

Hi Larry. The summer is knocking our door pal, it's been a lovely start to the day, non stop sun and blue sky. Even 2 pigeons were sat outside our kitchen door at half past eight waiting for their treats. It's a normal visit each morning, then they clear off, and are back again about 6 o'clock for early supper. Ho! Ho! Ho! Liz calls them Jack and Jill.
Well, it certainly is a funny old world eh! This country of ours is now rated the Knife Killer. What a carry-on eh! Not rated anything like the US Gun killings that's for sure. Mind, it has been a terribly bad knife killing time these past 4 months.
This has to be a shortie today, we are expecting to be picked up about 1 o'clock for a short trip to a friend's home, so I'd better get the treats ready for you. So go get your bag ready. Here they are. It's a Guinness, 4 Teasers, and a small Ferrero Rocher. Bwwwmp, hope you caught the lot. Ha! Ha! Ha!
Take care, see you next week.

Evening Fussy, I'm late this week as you can see, it was such a glorious day that we packed a picnic and drove up into the wilds of mid Wales for the day. We had thought of driving down to the coast somewhere, but then we thought that with it being a bank holiday weekend (and an unusually hot one at that) all the beaches would be packed, so we decided to head inland instead to avoid the crowds

It's been really a really amazing weekend hasn't it, and today was even hotter than yesterday and hotter than many days we've had in July and August some years. It's a lovely change after all the terrible weather we've had these past few months. I wonder how long it'll last ? Hope you enjoyed your outing too

Well as I'm so late this week I'd better nip across to facebook now before heading home. Thanks for thetreats and see you next week (unless we have a sudden blizzard )

Hi Larry. Dodgy weather again, it said on the news yesterday that we can expect a return of the wintry weather for at least a few days here and there, but not bitterly cold. We were tidying up a little in our little front garden yesterday when a tiny squirrel had somehow got himself in and then dashed out again through the hedge on to the road. We hope he made his way back quickly to Cwmdonkin Park (the late Dylan Thomas' hideaway) which is only 25 yards from our front door, because the traffic outside our place is off and on fairly busy. We would hate it if the little soul got killed by a passing vehicle.
Well, hope you have time to look at Facebook today. Pauline has been doing some photography of her locality again, 99 lovely pictures. Hells' Bells that is a lot of pics, innit. I increased each one to full size on my iPad. They are quite stunning, very sharp pics.
Crazy madness of killings in London and elsewhere in our country again. And now hell upon earth in the Palestine and Israel areas. It's gone stark raving mad around the globe, eh!
Ok, go get the bag. Here goes, Blwmp, a Guinness, Plwsh, 4 Minstrels (the teasers were out of stock) Ho! Ho! And Flippsy, a box of After Eights for the carer who looks after you all. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Take care pal, hope the L Rover keeps plodding along.
See you next Sunday.

If you only saw 99 I think you missed a few Fussy --- there were 177 photos in that post, plus a short video The weather's definitely gone downhill since last weekend though, it was really hot for about three days, (which was a miracle considering that it was a Bank Holiday and they're usually cold, wet and windy ) but since then it's been much cooler and we've had a couple of heavy showers during the night.

Might be just as well rally though, because after two fairly long walks so close together I've been as stiff as a board for the rest of the week, my back's been killing me -- when I get up out of a chair I'm walking around like Quasimodo for a while before I can manage to straighten up again

Hopefully, by the time the weather warms up again I'll be feeling fitter again so that we can get out and enjoy it Mind you, I'll never be able to walk as far as I did in the old days when I had first Laddie, then Sonny and Sam. Back then I thought nothing of walking to Amroth and back, with a few detours along the way. I would walk anything between five and ten miles in a day; the furthest I've walked in recent times is about three miles and that nearly finished me off. Maybe I should buy a horse, then I could ride everywhere while the dogs ran alongside

Better go and look for something to eat now. I've completely run out of spuds though, so unless I can manage to catch that damned 10.15 am bus one day I'll have to book a delivery from Asda or Tesco this week, but in the meantime I think I've got some Aunt Bessie's frozen mash in the freezer for emergencies.

Hope your squirrel got back to the park safely Fussy.

A very good afternoon to you Fussy and Pauline Good to hear from two of you again this week

Well last weekend was definately the hottest bank holiday I can remember for many years, I think the weatherman must have made a mistake and forgotten it was a bank holiday weekend, if he'd remembered we'd probably have had a hurricane or a blizzard

Glad you enjoyed some nice walks Pauline, but sorry to hear your suffering for it. The forecast says the weather's going to get warmer again later in the month, so I hope your aches and pains get better soon so you can get out and about again when it arrives.

Sorry to hear you've run out of spuds, pity we're not still in Kilgetty, I could have brought a few down for you. Could have given you a lift to the shops now and then too so you would'nt have to rely on that terrible bus service.

Time to visit facebook now, must see all Pauline's new photos that Fussy mentioned (although from what I read it sounds as if he did'nt see all of them ) Thanks for the treats Fussy, hope your little squirrel is safe, take care until next week.

Bloomig heck, you were right Larry, the clock had gone berserk, the time on my post says 04.02 and that was definitely wrong, I remember looking at the computer clock just before I finished typing it and the time was 13.57, so the time on this site was either 10 hours slow or 14 hours fast depending on which direction it was going in, Ah, I just checked that post again and it says the 13th of May, so it was 4.02 this morning, which means it was definitely slow. I didn't notice it was wrong at the time, so I'm glad you pointed it out to me

Goodness knows what went wrong for that to happen, but I've reset it again now, so fingers crossed it'll stay right this time. This site really does have it's weird moments doesn't it

Hi Larry. Ooooh! great weather innit, just the stuff for you getting up so early in the morning. And wasn't it good for Harry and Meghan yesterday,...just imagine what it would have ruined if it was stormy torrential rain in Windsor yesterday. And did you see on TV the two of them setting off for their party later in a left hand drive Electric Jaguar. Anyway, good luck to both of them.
Had a bit of a shock this morning, Liz has been feeding 2 pigeons with a teacupful of seeds each morning for months, but this morning there were 14 waiting on the roof so we put the breaks on, because it happened a few years ago when we had to stop feeding, to get rid of them.
I never check the time on our site, so it's been 'topsy tervy' then. I'll check it today, because it's played tricks a few times in the past hasn't it. Pauline has probably sorted it out.
Funny old world innit Larry, listening to the news these days is like a pain in the neck, and a pain in the neck can be a b****y b****r. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Right then, go get it, ( I bet this has got loads of folk scratching their heads.) Blwmp! It's a Guinness. Fffflop! That was 4 Teasers, and Poopsy! A box of After Eights. Hope you caught the lot!
Take care pal, hope to see you again next week.
Adios Amigo!

Afternoon both - and anybody else who might happen to drop in Yea the weather's been a lot better this past week, we had some rain one night but I was asleep at the time so I only knew it had rained because there were a few wet patches left in the morning

Nah, I didn't watch the royal wedding, ca'nt be bothered with all that sort of stuff. Have'nt got much time for royalty in general, tink it's time we had a revolution like the French well maybe not go so far as chopping their heads off, but definately chuck em out, think how many homeless people you could fit into Buck house Harry's ok though, he seems more down to earth than the older royals, and that Meghan looks nice, it's about time they got some new blood into the family, so good luck to them.

Blimey Fussy, that's a lot of flipping pigeons The first two must have been spreading the word about the best cafes in Swansea Hope Liz did'nt have any washing out, 14 lots of pigeon **** would'nt do it any good at all

Oh well, better pop across to facebook now I suppose. Thanks for the goodies.See you next week all being well

Hi Larry. Funny old weather again, pouring rain one minute and sunshine the next. Thank goodness it was reasonably dry and sunny yesterday for the music Festival in Singleton Park here in Swansea. Thousands of folk attended it and apparently thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The singer Taylor Swift is there today, I haven't a clue who she is, but the youngsters will flock there again today, I think it's on BBC today.
I've got problems with my computer again these past few weeks.
I can't tell you what the cause of the problem is because when I was typing this to you half an hour ago I mentioned the name of who I thought the cause of the problem was, when suddenly after me typing this far the whole lot of it disappeared, so I've had to type this to you twice. It's b****y depressing when one has to type more or less the same message twice.
I see Pauline is OK these days busy taking a few hundred pictures with the Nikon. And she's also taking a fancy to the few houses that are for sale in that area. WOW! She said Meg and Moll would love to move to that house with a pond of water a few feet away.
OK pal go get the bag. Plwwmp, it's a Budweiser this week, I forgot to get a Guinness.Ffllip, 4 Teasers for the bosses, Ho Ho. And Bloop, a large box of Malteasers for the lady of the house.

Take care pal, see you next week.
You can guess, I'm b****y livid at having to re type that part.

How do Fussy Oh dear, sorry to hear your computer's playing up again Technology is great when it works properly is'nt it, but it's a right pain in the **** when it does'nt.

Weather's not been too good here either, not much such sunshine to speak of and even when the sun IS out there's not much heat with it, also a lot of showers on and off plus some very strong winds, and last night I think we even had a spot of thunder and lightning in the distance. I suppose it was too much to expect to have two nice bank holidays in a row -- I was surprised that we had such lovely weather on the last one bearing in mind that bank holidays are usually b***** awful The weather man must have got his dates mixed up to give us such warm, sunny weather for that last one Oh well, never mind, hopefully it'll pick up again soon.

I'm not too sure who Taylor Swift is either, I've heard the name mentioned but that's all, I'm not up on these modern stars. I must say I thought the name Taylor Swift sounded like somebody who makes up suits very fast for customers who are in a hurry

I bet those houses Pauline fancies are up around Dinas or Newport are they - that's the area she really likes the best. Would'nt it be nice for her if she could win a lot of money so she could move up there. Come to think of it it would be very nice if I could win enough money to move anywhere moving around from place to place for work is all very well, at least we've seen a few different parts of the country over the years, but it palls after a while, it would be nice to have a place of our own to retire to when the time comes.

Better pay my weekly visit to facebook now I suppose, to see Pauline's latest photos and catch up on whatever else has been happening. Thank you for all the goodies, hope you get your computer troubles sorted out, take care until next week

Hello there, I've been meaning to pop in before now, but I've been doing some late Spring cleaning here, haven't made much progress because there's a LOT of junk needing to be cleared out, so hopefully in a while there'll be some stuff to sell either in the local auctions or on eBay, a lot of bags for the charity shop and a pile of stuff to go to the tip I haven't done much cleaning the past few days though as I've been taking the dogs out for walks to take advantage of the nice weather before the rain comes back

I was reading what you said a couple of weeks ago and I don't know who Taylor Swift is either, but not long ago I was looking at one of those facebook pages where they post funny photos and I saw this, that's a really funny coincidence isn't it, having those two trucks driving on the same road at the same time

Oh-oh, I think I can hear something boiling over on the cooker so I'd better go. I'll try and come back later.

Hi Pauline I was just about to go across to facebook when I spotted your name and today's date on this post, we must have been typing at the same time

Ha-ha, yea that is a funny picture. What are the odds of seeing two trucks with those names side by side

Hope you managed to save whatever boiled over

Hi Larry. Not a good day today, but who knows, it might be sunny any moment. The weather seems to change without warning now.

Well, as you know I've had nothing but problems with my computer recently, but it was mainly due to a fault on the router which was a brand new router set up last August, but it appears that the flip was caused by an electricity supply from the mains supply on the main road outside our property here, so it's a good job that I contacted Virgin to get it sorted.

I haven't a clue as to why you didn't receive my message last Sunday. I typed about 12 lines and clicked 'Post new reply', waited a couple of seconds and the message came up 'message is posted'. Hope you get this one today. Well, we have some visitors just arrived about an hour ago, so I had to test sending you this to satisfy myself that everything is working again. So this is a quickie, pal.
Go get the bag. Blwwwmp, it's a Budweiser today. Flippp, it's 4 Teasers, and Plllopp, it's a box of Apple Eights for your better-half.
Take care pal, will see you next Sunday.

How do Fussy, you DID post a message last week mate, and I read it and replied to it, but as Bob said in his message above you'd posted it on the wrong thread - you posted it on the Happy Birthday Larry thread and that's why you ca'nt see it on here (Maybe you'd been overindulging on the Baileys last Sunday )

Weather's not been too good here either, it's been raining on and off since Friday and it's been much colder, feels more like Winter than June at the moment, but the weather forecast says it's going to get better by the end of the week and from then to the end of the month is looking quite good, so fingers crossed they're right

That was a nasty fire in Newport last Friday wasn't it, that destroyed that lovely old church, I heard on the news that two people have been arrested for arson, hope they lock the morons up and throw away the key

Anyway, glad you got your computer problems sorted out -- but do'nt forget to check the other thread to see that missing message from last week Suppose I'd better visit facebook now, thanks for the Budweiser, the Teasers and the After Eights (I think you meant After Eights -- I've never heard of Apple Eights, HaHa ) See you next week I hope.

Oh dear, no Fussy again today well at least he was here on Wednesday so he was ok then, so let's hope he's just out somewhere enjoying this lovely weather.

It's been really glorious these past few days has'nt it, looks like Summer's arrived at last, and if the weather forecast's to be believed it's set to last for a while yet so let's hope their right for a change.

Oh well, if there's nobody here to chat to today I suppose I might as well pop over to facebook and see what's been happening there. Hope your ok Fussy and that you'll be back next Sunday.

Oh dear, still no sign of Fussy, hope he's alright

Weather's taken a sudden turn today, it's been scorching for the past 10 days or so and they said it was going to last for at least another couple of weeks, but it looks like they made a mistake because I could have sworn that was rain I saw coming down from the sky earlier Still, I'm not complaining, it was TOO blooming hot some days last week, I was nearly melting out there, and the fields could definately do with a drop of rain, so let's hope that when the sun comes out again it wo'nt be QUITE so hot.

Oh well, might as well go and see what's happening on facebook now I suppose. Hope your ok Fussy and that you'll be back soon.

Hi Fussy, well I'm relieved to hear from you again, but sorry to hear your not very well, hope you'll be feeling better soon m8.

Blimey, it's been a scorcher this week has'nt it, every day feels as if it's abroad(not that I've ever been abroad ) people are saying it has'nt been this hot since 1976, but I do'nt remember much about that yearbecause I was only 4 at the time Wonder how long it'll last, the forecast says it's going to be like this for at least another 10 days, which I don't mind myself, but the farm land could do with a drop of rain soon.

Oh well, I have'nt got any news to report, nothing different ever seems to happen around here, so I suppose I might as well pop over to facebook. Hope you'll be feeling much better soon Fussy.

Oh dear, Fussy still not back yet, I hope he's alright and recovering from whatever was wrong with him, this hot weather we've been having seems to have upset a few people, guess we're just not used to it in this country. It's been a bit cooler the past couple of days, mainly because there's been quite a strong breeze, but the weather forecast said we were going to have some rain and possibly thunderstorms and there's been no sign of that yet. I'm happy myself not to be getting wet out in the fields, but the land could do with some rain now, everything's starting to turn brown and shrivel up. It would help with these grass fires that are breaking out in many places too.

I had a bit of a problem signing in here this week, don't know what the problem was but thank goodness I finally managed to sign in on the fourth attempt.

Oh well, suppose I might as well pay my weekly visit to facebook now. Hope Fussy will be feeling better and back with us soon.

Afternoon Bob, nice to hear from you again Did you get to some nice places on your travels ? The most exotic place I've been to recently was Caio about some sheep

Yea Fussy's been absent for a few weeks now, like you said, I hope he's ok, he's been a part of this site from the start, it's just not the same without him is it

The weather's definately gone downhill in the last few days has'nt it, low temperatures, wind, pouring rain, thunder, all we need now is a snowstorm and we'll have had all four seasons in only four days We needed some rain though, at least the land did, the crops were starting to die in the fields. Hope it is'nt the last we've seen of the sun though, maybe not as hot as the last few weeks, but just pleasantly warm would be nice

Oh well, better pay my respects to facebook I suppose. Fingers crossed Fussy will be back by next week.

Oh dear, till no sign of Fussy, it's been a whole month and I'm getting really worried now, I do hop he's alright

At least the weather's improved again this weekend, although we did need more rain for the sake of the land, but it's miserable when your working outside to have rainwater constantly trickling down your neck

I heard that this Summer has been very bad for butterflies though, it seems that the hot weather has killed off a lot of the flowers and plants that they eat from and where they lay their eggs, and I don't suppose that modern-day pesticides have helped either. It's a sad thought that many species have already become extinct and others are in danger of extinction. I already see far less butterflies than I did in my younger days and it would be a tragedy if they disappeared altogether, Summer would'nt seem the same

Ah well, better see what's been happening on facebook now I suppose. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that Fussy will be back with us soon.

Hello Bob, nice to hear from somebody even if it is a very short message Still no word from Fussy though, five weeks, I'm starting to get really worried now, I really hope he's o.k.

We seem to have seen the last of Summer for this year, the weather's been b****y awful lately and the forecast for the next few days is'nt looking too good, it's supposed to be sunny again next Thursday but after that back to cloudy and wet again. Oh well, at least the fields have had a good watering and they certainly needed it

Well it does'nt look as if anybody else is going to turn up so I suppose I'd better look in on facebook and see what's been going on. I'll keep hoping that Fussy will be back by next week.

PS, I like the new photo

Hi Larry. Sorry not to have been able to chat these past 5 or 6 weeks, but I've been in a 'down' healthwise, and still haven't completely recovered, but apparently the skin problem will take longer than normal. Thank God I've got Liz, she has to plaster me with ointment twice a day, and a variety of tablets, so at my age I'm limp. Never had this problem ever in my life, but the doctor says it happens to many elderly people and is very common.
Anyway, hope you and your family are keeping well.
WOW! That was a hell of a bridge fall in Italy wasn't it, and what a hell of a catastrophe in India, 300 dead and 2oo,ooo lost homes due to a Monsoon, we had a couple of Monsoons when I was there during WW2, it's terrifying.
Go get your bag then, it's a Guinness, 4 Chocs for the 'bosses' and a Ferrero Rocher for your 'better half'.
Take care pal, hope to chat again next Sunday, but, but, but if I'm not able to, you'll realise that I was one degree under, but not seriously ill.
Thanks for your kind thoughts pal.

Hey Fussy, great to have you back M8 , you've been missed. Sorry to hear about your health problems though, sounds nasty, hope it clears up soon.

Yes that bridge collapse was terrible Last report I heard they said 42 people had been killed I've always been a little bit nervous driving over those high bridges and relieved when I get to the other side, after seeing that I'll be even more nervous, ifI eer have to drive down to the west of England again I think I'll go the old way via Gloucester and avoid both Severn Bridges altogether.

Glad we do'nt live in Monsoon country, the weather's been pretty miserable here since the heatwave ended, but nothing like as bad as they get in some countries, so we're lucky compared to them so I suppose we should be grateful for that.

A bit nearer to home though, did you hear about that car that fell into a sinkholein the car park at Craig-y-Nos castle and someone said that more sinkholes could appear in various parts of Wales with no prior warning, that's a bit worrying My motor might be old and decrepit but it's the only one I've got so I don't want it disappearing into any holes until I win the lottery and can afford to buy a new one

Better be popping over to facebook now. Thanks for this week's goodies Fussy, but the best treat of the week was to hear from you again Take care pal and hope to speak to you again soon

Hi Larry. Well' a change in the weather, we are back to normal, thank goodness for my sake, 'cos I think the long stretch of hot weather was partly the cause of my perishing skin problem. Funny innit, 'cos I never had a problem like this, not even when I was in the Far East during WWII.
Well, what a crazy world we're in these days eh. In my time I never remember the world being in such a mad state with all the terrorism, Knife killings carried out mostly by youngsters, and goodness what other crazy goings-on. And world fires and floods causing unbelievable loss of life and properties. Oh hell, and the increasing number of cruelties to defenceless animals, that really upsets me Larry. And the government arguments about this and that, it's sickening innit.
Pauline is doing well with her two lovely pets, they are loving their walks around that area. And the camera work of odd spots of Pemb's is a treat to see. I wonder if she has been spotted as a possible TV expert photographer. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Well, go get your bag. Here goes, Blwmp, it's a Guinness again, and 4 Teasers for the foursome. And here's a small Ferrero Rocher for your 'better half'.
Take care pal, hope you are all well, and looking forward to Xmas.
Time flys, doesn't it.
See you next week.

Howdy do Fussy, glad that your getting better. Yea the hot weather might definately be the cause of your skin problems, I had a mate a few years back who used to break out in a rash whenever the weather got too hot

Unless we get one of those Indian Summers I think we might have seen the last of our Summer for this year, some days it's felt more like February than AUgust. Mind you, yesterday was'nt too bad, nowhere near as hot as it was a few weeks back, but quite warm and sunny and no rain. Today's been bloody horrible again though, torrential rain this morning. It's stopped raining for the moment but it's still very grey and chilly.

Yea according to the news they've had some pretty horrendous fires in places like Canada and California Mind you, there have been a few in this country too, I heard that there was a big grass fire near Aberdare last month and that fire on Saddleworth Moor kept burning for a long time. (Wasn't it Saddleworth Moor where Ian Brady and Myra Hindley buried thos poor children years ago ?)

Blimey, yes, we're already 2/3 through the year aren't we, much closer to next Christmas than the last one, where does the time go

I agree, Pauline's posted some fantastic photos on facebook hasn't she, and those two dogs are beautiful

Time to pay my respects to facebook now then and see if she's posted any newphotos since last week. Thanks for the treats (Bob will be jealous over the Guinness ) Take care and hopefully we'll both be back next week

B****y hell!
I just typed you about 15 lines Larry and was about to press Post New Reply when the whole screen disappeared, and when I tried to recover it no b****Y hope.

This is what I typed: Weather was changeable but it is normal to have changes in weather in early Autumn
Liz is having a rip-roaring time feeding about 30 sparrows daily, with many suet blocks. She sets the block in a tree about 7ft high, and about 4 sparrows perch on the wiring around the suet and scoff the whole block in a day.
Terrible news about some of the people who take a holliday abroad, and find themselves in horrible distress by being infected by some vile system. Looks as though it's due to something like that 'nerve agent' that started in Salisbury.
Then I said as usual go get your bag for the Guinness, Teasers, and After Eights.
Then I said, I was feeling a bit better, but not 100%
Then as I was about to press Post New Reply, the whole page was swallowed by some other website. I tried to recover my post but NO LUCK.
Anyway, take care pal.
Hope to see you next Sunday again.

How do Fussy, sorry you lost your first post, b***** computers can be a right pain in the rear end (polite version ) sometimes. And this site does get it's fair share of problems too.

Weather's been very mixed here too, rained most of last night, today's dry but very grey and miserable and quitechilly, think we've probably seen the last of Summer for this year.

Blimey Fussy, how does Liz manage to get those suet blocks 7 feet up in a tree I've got visions in my head now of her shinning up the trunk like those natives you see going up palm trees, only instead of having a knife clamped between her teeth she's holding a suet block Or does she just do it the easy way and use a ladder

Yea there are some horrible things going on in this world these days, I honestly do'nt know what the hell is wrong with people that makes them want to go around killing everybody. God know there are a lot of people that I disagree with and more than a few that I ca'nt stand and would be more than happy to never see again, but I do'nt go so far as bumping them off. If things keep going the way they are there'll be nobody left alive on earth one of these days.

Sorry that your still feeling under par m8, hope you'll be back up to 100% in the near future.

Time to pay my respects to facebook now then, thanks for this weeks goodies - maybe you should write down the secret of how you manage to send them over the internet, and leave it in a sealed envelope so that future generations can benefit from your magic

Look after yourself, give my congratulations to Liz for her tree-climbing abilities and hopefully I'll talk to you again next week

I've been having similar problems myself, I typed a really long piece on here a while ago but when I went to post if it disappeared. I'm having a lot of other problems too, one of which being that in the past few months I've been swamped by supposed "New Member Requests", which, if they were genuine, would have been very welcome, but the trouble is that they WEREN'T genuine at all All the user names were very similar, as were the email addresses they were using, and when I checked the IP addresses every one of them came from exactly the same place, so I can only assume that it was some idiot trying to sign up just so that they could post more spam like those adverts that they tried to post on the Guestbook of my other site. Anyway, in the past few months I have deleted OVER NINE HUNDRED of these fake requests and it's really getting me down now.
I HAD been considering giving up the paid version of the site and going over to the free version, which would have less features, but then I found out that the free version is ending on the 19th of this month, so if I'd transferred I'd have no site at all 10 days from now, so I'll have to stick to the paid version and just hope that if I keep deleting their requests, these clowns will eventually give up trying, but it's really driving me bonkers I've got enough worries on my mind at the moment without having to cope with those morons as well

Anyway, I'm going to go and look for something to eat now (if I can make up my mind what to have - the problem with having a well-stocked freezer is that by the time I've decided what I want to cook it's too late in the day to thaw it and cook it before bedtime, so half the time I just end up with a sandwich or cheese and crisps )

Blimey, no wonder your fed-up, having to delete over 900 silly buggars is enough to drive anybody loopy It would be nice to have a few genuine new members to keep the old site alive (and give me somebody to chat to on the days when your not around ) but not a lot of trolls I seem to recall somebody posting something last year that did'nt even make any sense, if I'm remembering right I think it was all symbols and squiggles instead of proper words.

Well as you can see I'm a bit late this week, had to drive the missis somewhere on a visit and I've got to back and pick her up again soon, so I'd better not stay here too long or she'll be having my guts for garters if I'm late getting back there

I hear that that Ironman contest is on in Tenby this weekend, can't say I envy them having to swim, walk and cycle in this weather, my old motor might be a bit of a rust bucket but at least it's got a roof to keep out the rain Besides, it's hard to swim fast when your a Lamb because your fleece gets water-logged and weighs you down

Oh well, better pay my visit to facebook now. Fingers crossed this message doesn't disappear too when I try to post it, and hopefully I'll talk to you again next week

Hells Bells. You must have had a hell of a do with those pranks Pauline. I wonder if he or she was trying to mess up the site.
Anyway, many thanks for deciding to keep the site going.
I'm still feeling a bit 'under the weather,' but I still try to keep in touch.
Thanks for your photos of your Pemb's area, and those two of yours are priceless. They seem to be 100% happy together.

Since I posted that last message Fussy I've had another seven applications all from that same IP address and with almost identical names and email addresses, so I've deleted them all. There were also another three with different IPs and emails and I wasn't sure if they were genuine or not, so I've let those stay for now, see how it goes. If they seem suspicious later I can still delete them. And if necessary I can make the entire site private so that only those who are already members can see it.

It's really making me mad though, why the H*** would anybody keep on sending in all those hundreds of applications knowing that they're not going to be accepted ? It makes me wonder if it's somebody that knows me and is doing it deliberately just to aggravate me. Either that or it's just an escaped lunatic

Anyway, it's getting late now and I'm tired, so I'm off to bed. Molly and Meg have been asleep for ages

Hi Larry....Winter is on it's way, it's all wet around here, and the forecast is not all that good, anyway it's a nice change from that sweaty summer we had
But what about the chaos in N Carolina and the Philippines. What a loss of life and terrible suffering for those people, and the suffering of the poor animals. Just thinking of it hurts like hell. The loss of properties, and losing personal items, some of which have cost a lifetime to pay for must be heart-breaking.

Well, it's not only you and myself who's had trouble with this site of ours. As you can see by Pauline's messages, she has had b****y endless troubles herself. I'm sure it's due to some wasters purposely interfering with the site, because I don't ever have problems with this computer since the Virgin sorted out an outside problem with the Electricity Mains which is situated a street away from here, nothing to do with this computer atall.
Right then go get your bag. Here goes Blwmp, a Guinness again, lucky fella! splotch....4 Teasers, and flip...a small Ferrero Rocher. Hope you caught the lot.

Take care pal, you've got a long way to go yet.

See you next Sunday.

Afternoon both Yea it's a bloody horrible day today, has'nt stopped raining for more than a few seconds since early this morning But as you say, thank god we do'nt have any of those hurricanes, typhoons, monsoons and all the other terrible storms that they're getting in other parts of the world. I did hear that we'll probably be getting the tail end of that hurricane later in the week, but the worse of it will have blown itself out by the time it reaches our shores. They get those type of storms so often over there that it makes you wonder why anybody lives there, if it was me I'd be out of there after the first one hit, I wouldn't bother to stay and rebuild my house just to wait for it to get destroyed again the next time a hurricane came along. I suppose if you were born in a place and lived there all your life it's hard to up sticks and move somewhere else, but I'm just very grateful that I was born in a relatively safe country.

Sorry to hear about all the problems Pauline's having, whoever that person is they must have a hell of a lot of patience to keep sending so many membership applications, not to mention having a hide like a rhinocerus, I mean after getting chucked out that many times you'd think they'd have got the message that they're not wanted by now would'nt you It would be nice to have some genuine new members though, it would liven things up a bit, but we can definately do without the lunatic fringe

Glad that Virgin found out what was causing your problems Fussy, who'd have thought the electricity mains would affect your computer eh.

Oh well, time to visit facebook now. Thank you for this weeks treats. See you next week (unless we have a hurricane )

Hi Larry. As I said last week, winter is on it's way. It's been pouring down here last night and windy but thank goodness we've not had anything like the North of the country. But even with the lousy bit of weather yesterday, it didn't stop a couple of dozen sparrows pecking away at the suet block, they scoffed the whole block by teatime. It normally takes them 4 to 5 days to eat a block. Liz spoils them, she buys 6 blocks to last about a month.
Good boxing news last night,...our Joshua knocked out the Russian in the 7th round, so that took the smile out of Putin's chops.
Hells bells, the crimes carried out in London is devastating. There was a programme on TV last week sighting loads of the 'bikers' speeding through loads of places after dark, breaking all the rules, and causing unbelieving crashes. What a hell of a batch of thieves, and killers.
I see that Pauline is having a hilarious lifestyle with Meg and Moll. Mind, they're a lovely pair, and I think she's lucky to have got them as pups. They take a mountain of problems off Pauline's mind, 'cos she's had endless upsets with various snags on her computer and phone.

Right then, go get the bag, (this will fox all naughty viewers on this site. Bwmph! Its a Guinness again, Zzzzz 4 Teasers for the 'bosses'. Whizzz a small Ferrero Rocher for 'you know who'. Hope you caught the lot.
Take care pal, as you've got a long way to go yet. I've improved a bit these last couple of weeks, so I hope to be able to chat again next Sunday. Hope you and your family are in good health, and laughing.
See you next Sunday.

Hiya Fussy, from the temperatures we've been having this past week, not to mention the rain and wind, I'd say Winter had already arrived It's been a bit better today though, still quite chilly mind, but at least the sun's shining and it's been dry, so I guess we'll have to be thankful for small mercies

It's good that a British boxer won the fight, but I don't think that Putin bloke's ever had a smile on his face to be knocked off He's a miserable looking bugger, every time I've seen his face on the news he looks as if he lost 1,000 roubles and found a kopeck (Not sure if I spelt that right)

Speaking about London, did you hear that thing on the news that said the police have announced that the killer of all those cats in the London area were foxes ? What a load of b******t Cats, unless their old or sick, can more than hold their own against foxes, and foxes do NOT behead cats with a sharp blade and leave the heads and body parts on display in different places. If you ask me it's just another case of the police not wanting to bother to investigate properly

Your Liz is too good to those birds, youought to charge them for board and lodgings

Oh well, time to visit facebook now. Thanks for this week's treats (We'll never tell that lot how it's done, let them keep on wondering )

Hi Larry. Autumn is here pal, the leaves are falling in heaps on the lawn outside our house here, and I feel that the month of September has flown by, October the Ist tomorrow. Wow! It'll be Christmas before you wink!
Well, we are lucky once again in this part of the world, that horrible Tsunami and earthquake in Indonesia has killed more than 400 people and maybe many more,...what a hell of a quake eh!, and the loss of their homes and defenceless animals must be a frightening task to deal with, or to TRY to deal with, b****y hell, and loss of power must be life threatening as well.
Well, our Pauline has had one hell of a problem with her 'puter and phone recently hasn't she, and a few household problems like loss of lighting and power off and on, even though she's managed to sort things out fairly quickly, it's still a b****y nuisance, innit. Still she's got two best friends in Megan and Molly, they really are a cracking good pair to accompany her on her trips around Pemb's.
Well, as usual, go get your bag. Here goes again, a Budweiser this week, I forgot to get the other one. 4 Teasers, and a pack of Ferrero Rocher. Ho! Ho! Lookers-on will be foxed as to how this lot is transported.
Take care pal hope the Land Rover is kicking on without a pain in the gullet. Keep going, you've got a hell of a long trip ahead of you.
Hope all are well with you.
See you next Sunday.

Afternoon Fussy, well I really do'nt know what to make of this weather, a while back it was freezing, colder than many days in Winter, but in the past week we've had some really nice days, sunny and quite warm, it's not been so good again today though Can't believe it's October tomorrow though, it seems like only a few days ago it was August. Thinking back to my schooldays the weeks between the end of the Summer holidays and Christmas seemed to be never ending, but these days it seems to fly past in the wink of an eye, I think somebody "up there" is speeding the world up these days

Heard on the news that someone was murdered in a caravan site in Pendine a few days ago. It's shocking is'nt it, you do'nt expect to hear about things like that happening in a place where people just come to enjoy their holidays

Yea Pauline seems to have been having a run of bad luck lately, but she's got Molly and Meg to cheer her up, I'm sure they bringa smile to her face even when they're being naughty

Oh well, time to trot over to facebook now (if it can be called trotting when your sitting in a chair in front of a computer and the only thing moving are your fingers ) Thanks for all the goodies, see you next week unless we have a blizzard

Hi Larry. Got to be a shorty today pal, we are off on a visit to friends of ours, which is only ten miles away. If we are back early enough I'll get back on here to chat.
Just in case we are too late, go get your bag now. Here goes, Blwmp, it's Guinness, 4 Teasers and a pack of After Eights.
Hope we will be back in time.
Take care pal.

How do Fussy, seems we've got something in common today - sort of -you were early and I'm late As you can see I got held up, but I'm here now. Looks like you did'nt get back early from your visit, but at least I know where you were so I did'nt worry Hope you enjoyed yourself.

I hear the Cardiff half marathon was on today, you did'nt fancy having a go in that did you I do'nt understand it myself, why would anybody choose to run that far if they did'nt have to I enjoy a nice leisurely walk in the countryside - with the emphasis on LEISURELY, I like to take my time and enjoy the scenery !! But to RUN for all those miles, especially on hard streets, seems bonkers to me.

Well I suppose I'd better pop across to facebook now, it's already later than usual and I told the missis I'd get back soon because there's a job she wants me to do and if I do'nt do it she'll have my bits on a plate, she's a real slave-driver Only kidding )

Thanks for the goodies, take care, and all being well I'll talk to you again next Sunday

Oh Bob, I'm so sorry I forgot about your birthday, I've been under the weather for the past week and I'm also having a lot of worries at the moment, I just completely lost track of the date. Hope you had a nice day, I promise to remember next year

Hi Larry. Sorry I failed to get back in time to continue the chat last Sunday. Well, the weather is at its worse here these last couple of days. But thank goodness we haven't had the crazy flooding that's been wrecking other parts of Wales. I expect you've had flooding in your area, hope it gets back to normal soon so that those poor people who have had their houses flooded will be able to sort out the problems.
Hope you haven't had trouble with your Rover too, I saw on TV that roads in various directions from Carmarthen were flooded and trees fallen here and there.
Well, b****r me! This site is to close at the end of this month. Bit of a shock at seeing the message at the top of this screen. And it's been running for about 18 years, and thanks of course to Pauline for having organised the site from the start, and financed it from the beginning. Very sad for all of us who've used it to keep the friendship going all these years.
Our Bob, is 70 now, I happened to remember his birthday early last week, so I popped him a happy birthday on Friday, but no word from him yet. Perhaps he's gone on a holiday abroad. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Well, go get it. Here goes, Blwmp, it's a Guinness (I remembered to buy it this week) Ho! Ho! And 4 Teasers for the 'gaffers' and a pack of After Eights for your 'better-half'.
Well, not good news on here this week, but most importantly,...hope you are all in good health.
Take care pal, see you next Sunday.

Howdo, well first off all let me say a belated Happy Birthday to Bob, one day I'll actually be here on the right day for somebodys birthday but I'm not sure when that'll be. I thought that as Bob's was on a Friday this year it might be on Sunday in two years time, but then I remembered that 2020 will be a leap year, so it'll be on a Monday instead, and I have'nt time to work out the years after that

Well that's shocking news about this site closing at the end of the month I have'nt seen that message on the screen here and Pauline has'nt mentioned that it was closing, so maybe it was a mistake? Hope it was anyway, I'd miss this site if it was'nt here any more

Yea the weather's been shocking this past week has'nt it, between the wind and the rain I was quite expecting to wake up one morning and find that we'd either been blown into the next county or else washed away by flood water. Luckily we're still here and it's a lot better out there today, the sun's been shining for most of the day, there's no heat with it and it's still a bit windy, but at least but there's been no more rain since last night. We can't win can we, in the summer it was so hot and dry the crops were dieing from it and now the ground is so waterlogged you need a boat to get from one field to another in some places.

Oh well, time to visit facebook now, at leastif this site does close down I'll be able to talk to you on there, but it wo'nt be the same Anyway, it should still be here next week as the end of the month is'nt for another two weeks, so hopefully we'll chat to each other on here again another couple of times before then. Thanks for the treats and take care until next week.

Hi Larry, it's a lovely day here today, plenty of sunshine and a warm day as well. And loads of sparrows are eating the suet as if they're starving. I think they hang out most of the time in Singleton Park, I saw a programme on TV about a year ago by Iolo...the presenter who gives good accounts of various birds in the countryside, he's a good presenter too of hills and valleys of Wales.
We've got vizzzzzzitors today, they've not arrived yet, but you'll understand the reason I may have to cut it short on here.
Well, would you believe it, I e-mailed Pauline about ten days ago to tell her about this site of ours closing down on the 31st of this month, and she also, like you, had no idea about it. So she will have contacted ForumCo and will let us know if the message here on my screen is correct. Tough innit, we had a good site for our pals on here for many years, and it has been most enjoyable.
Haven't heard from Bob recently, perhaps he's gone on a European holiday. Hope the weather is better down your way, after that recent mess on the roads around Carm's and Pemb's.

Well, go get the bag, here goes. Blwtch, it's a Guinness this week as usual, and 4 Teasers for the 'gaffers' and a large Ferrero Rocher for your 'better half',...she'll be pleased about that, she can share them around, so there is no fear of her putting on weight. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Well, our visitors aren't here yet. So I'll see you next Sunday pal, this site should still be available on the 28th. Take care pal.

Afternoon Fussy well blow me down, I'm amazed to hear that you've been having such nice weather there today, it's been blooming awful here, raining on and off all day and when it's not raining it's just grey and overcast and bloody miserable We're probably not that far away from each other, possibly no more than 30 miles as the crow flies (miles further by road of course) is'nt it funny how the weather can vary so much over a relatively small area !

Somebody told me there was a programme on BBC last week about the Welsh valleys but I missed it I do'nt get to see much tv at all really, there's no such thing as fixed working hours on farms, you never know when you might have to go and see to a sick animal or rescue one that's got itself stuck somwhere, and in the haymaking season you often have to work long after it gets dark to try and get it done before a storm comes along. I'm lucky that I can at least get enough time off to come down here every Sunday.

It's queer about that message you saw regarding the site is'nt it If Pauline does'nt know anything about it hopefully it was just a blip, if the site was really going to be shut down surely they would have notified her as the owner of the site. Maybe the message was put up by some sort of hacker, she did say that she's been having problems with some weirdo who keeps trying to join the site Anyway, fingers crossed that's all it was and that the site carries on for many years to come.

It has been a while again since we heard from Bob has'nt it, maybe he's off visiting his German relatives again, or maybe just been over-indulging in the amber nectar again (Or maybe black not amber because he seems quite fond of a pint or 12 of Guiness too )

Oh well, better see what's been happening on facebook this past week I suppose, hope you had a nice time with your visitors, thanks for this weeks treats (I'd better drink the Guinness quickly incase Bob comes back and pinches it ) Look after yourself and all being well I'll see you next week.
