Hi all Princess Di Here!
I'm still here. I've been so busy with family and visitors I haven't had any time to myself. My PC is still playing up a bit and I could not get into the site the other day. When I switch on today it says I am already logged on??? I tried to log off and start again but it wouldn't do anything? but it is letting me post this I hope?
Well all the Buffet food is ready to celebrate the bells tonight. So here's wishing all my friends on here a "VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!"
after 2004 all I can say is "Things can only get better" (I Hope!)
Di x :-)

High jinks for your hubby tonight eh! The Scots will be sinking it tonight, for sure. Try to take control of him, and make sure he leaves enough space for my double Baileys later on tonight. Ho! Ho! Me and the Fluff are both ok,reason we haven't been around is because we've been visiting the old folks home over Christmas. Got back today but now we're off out again to a new years party. If the celebrations don`t last too long I'll be back here tocatch up on the news on Sunday

We had a great New Years Eve celebration with family. We didn't get to bed until 2.30am and I have been tired and like a zombie ever since. I think we all need a few early nights. lol
Have you all made your new years resolutions yet? Mine are the same every year, so I have reversed it to see if that works this year lol here they are:
1, I must weight 20 stone by Easter 2, I must drink at least 20 units of alchol per week 3, I must smoke 20 cigarettes a day 4, and finally all physical activities are banned
ROFL well what do you think guys? will it work? lol
Has anyone ever been sucessful with a new years resolution?

Princess Di, It was not a new years resolution, but on October 29th 2004 I decided to stop smoking my 20+ cigs per day. Now today I am still a nonsmoker. I was worried about the holiday period as I like a pint and it was natural for me to light a cig with each pint, I made it through.

Oooooooh! Larry...I'm glad you're back mun! I was really worried last Sunday,...I was certain someone had grabbed 'iw for Sunday roast. I was frantically looking for my empty Baileys bottle, and then make my way down to the Pendine area to look for the evil monster who'd grabbed 'iw,...and if I found the moron...I would have whacked him on his napper till he was pleading for mercy.
Does that prove to you Larry that we think a lot of you on this forum? Ho! Ho! Ho!

'M' Wonderful!!! Glad you are whacking the cigarette habit. Don't be tempted now, keep a pack of Polo mints handy...to beat the urge. Hope you are better, after the 'broncho' attack. And you BG,...hope you are feeling 'in the pink' again. (Did you used to use that saying years ago?) Ho! Ho! Ho!

Princess Di It would really be a fluke if by deciding to smoke more eat more drink more and get no exercise worked the opposite way and you miracalously managed to quit all the bad habits . LOL . I think some times when we decide to pack things in our brain works against us and makes us crave them more .
Everyyear I make a resolution to stop smoking and eating too much and get more exercise ,I have failed every time .
So this year I have decided my resolution will be something I know I will enjoy doing ......Sitting at my computer more and posting more messages on the forums .LOL

No seriously folks I will try and stop smoking to help "M" as he is finding it quite hard ,but fair play he is doing really well .I now smoke my few cigarettes out in the back garden .
Fussy Yes I use that saying in the pink ,strange we do use a lot of colours to describe how we feel ,such as feeling blue or green with envy .I wonder what started us off using colours in that way .

Talking of colours I found this in my file of old papers . I hope it does not upset anyone on here ,if it does just say and I will delete it .
This was written by Bruce Barker a black guy in Texas .
Who Be Coloured. --------------- When I born , I black . When I grow up , I black . When I go in sun , I black . When I cold , I black . When I scared , I black . When I sick , I black . And when I die , I still black .
You white folks..... When you born , you pink. When you grow up you white . When you go in sun ,you red . When you cold , you blue . When you scared , you yellow . When you sick ,you green . And when you die , you grey . So who you calling coloured folk ??

Too true that one BG, Gets you thinking doesn't it?????
Moonraker, WELL DONE for quitting the fags :-) I know it is very hard to do, I tried earlier in the year and failed. Tonight I smoked my last cigarette at 5pm and thought 'well that's it I'm not going to the shops tonight to get any so I will do without'
Sorry to say it didn't work as I smoked 3 of other halfs :-(
I like BG's resolution to post more, I'm going for my next star by the end of this week lol

Princess Di Never give up trying to give up the cigs ,I shall keep giving it a go even though it is very hard at times .Since "M" gave up I have cut down quite a bit . I find it hard to give up smoking and cut down on food at the same time ,the doctor tells me cutting down on smoking is the most important thing to do first yes you do eat more and put on weight but he says you can deal with that at a later date . Best of luck anyway .

Has anyone made a new years resolution that is not smoking, diet,or fitness?
I really liked my son's he said "I will think about the rest of my family and not always about me and what I want" I must admit he does sometime get quite demanding and thinks the whole house/world revolves around him and what he wants to do. I suppose a typical 11 year old though.

We've got visitors,...but I've sneaked in here for a couple of minutes while they're gossiping. Yes 'M', it was nice to have a few lines from TG, Fluffy and Larry over the weekend. We haven't heard from BB and Gemini though for some time now. Hope they're OK! 'ow'r iw doin now 'M'...are 'iw better? I think I'm over the worst of it now, mustn't speak too soon though 'cos the damn thing creaps back on you when you're not looking. Ho! Ho! Ho! Hey 'M',...Liverpool had 2 blatant penalties disallowed against Chelsea. That could have a serious bearing on the championship eh! They're yelling for me now, so I'm off. Back later....I hope.

Hi Fussy, Glad to hear you are feeling better. I am still rough. It does not help that I have a problem with my lungs at the best of times. Take it easy butty, this bug seems to start to clear up then the following day it hits you just as bad as before. I didn't watch football today as the grandson was in charge of the remote for the TV. Hope you enjoyed your visitors and Liz does not give you a clip across the ear for nipping on here. Talk to you soon.

'M' Sorry to hear that you are still struggling with that damn broncho. I think I spoke too soon too,...I don't feel as good today as I felt yesterday, but I'm not feeling really down if you know what I mean. But it does creep back on 'iw, it's a nasty old virus innit! Hope your better-half is rid of the perishing thing as well.
Princess Di, 'Ow'r iw doin gel? Hope you are getting back to normal now after the delights of the Scottish New Year celebrations. I bet hubby was on form eh! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Hi All !
I'm fine and dandy thanks Fussy, I did have a bad cold over the Christmas but It doesn't sound half as bad as all you guys have been. Hope you will all be on the mend soon.
We had a great Christmas although It was slightly disrupted by the Brother in Law from hell arriving unannounced. Oh it gets worse he has only gone and rented a flat near by and got himself a job today !!! GREAT I guest he's staying then !!!! :-(
I wouldn't really mind but he is at aloose end and has just been sitting in our lounge since 12 noon watching TV. I'm sorry to say I wasn't very sociable, I carried on with my house work. Other half hasn't touched any of the odd jobs we planned for today. I know it's not his fault. I think his brother is loitering awaiting an offer of some dinner AGAIN!

Hi Di, Ho! Ho! Ho! You've had 'scrounger' relatives as well have you,...we've been used to that over the years,...brothers in law etc. The usual chatter you know...."call whenever you like, the door is always open,..come and spend the weekend." Then, the more welcoming you are they tend to take a little advantage, and the weekend suddenly becomes a week, and within months the summer descends on us, and they are probing about spending their hollidays with us (free of course.) Luckilly for us there has only been 1 distant member of our lot who has overstepped the mark and expected 'freedom of the city' so to speak. Our house has always been an open door for all our family any time of day or night throughout the year. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Princess Di Stick a big notice on the front door saying CAFE and put a price list up for all the meals .LOL What can you do really , nothing much as family are family after all .If he has now got a job try and have your meals before he finishes work ,then if he comes round point him in the direction of the nearest chippy .
I remember years ago when one of my daughter was going out with a chap in the RAF he was stationed in Lyneham ,so when he and his friends came into town to go to the night clubs they all use to come here and sleep the night ,on the floor on the settee or in an arm chair .We have had numerous members of my family living with us over the years too . I quite enjoyed it all really .

Hey Bob,...WHERE 'ave 'iw been you old sot? Couldn't get away from your mother-in-law 'cos she treated you well over the Christmas eh! Didn't know where you were, the lights fused, what day is it? my foot! Don't give us all that nonsense, you can't pull that one over on us. You had too much 'pop,' that was the cause of your dilemma. We are not dull...we are all sober and are able to put two and two together and see by your typing that you were blotto as usual. Hope you remembered to feed Rover over the Xmas. His breed is well known to have an excellent memory, and can turn quite nasty, and bite fiercely when neglected. Ho! Ho! Ho!
Anyway Robert,...here's wishing you and yours a HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR. Including your m-i-l

Brother in law is about 48 ish I think. Matching him up with Bod's m-i-l sounds like a good idea and I like the idea of a cafe sign lol. He dropped himself right in it when I served up dinner and he commented on how that would cost him £6 plus in a cafe, so I told him I would leave the collection tin in the hallway on his way out. he just laughed, Some people have thick skin and his must be like Rhino hide rofl.

That reminds me of a little old lady who lived near us in Cwmdare...in the 30s. Referring to her husband who always complained about his meals being either cold or under-cooked, she used to often tell my mother..." I'm going to boil the b****r an egg tomorrow, and he can take it or b****y leave it." Ho! Ho! Ho! They were a lovely old couple, but always at it...hammer and tongs, but if anyone uttered a bad word about Sid...she'd be down their throat like a dose of salts. Ho! Ho! Happy days they were folks! I'd give up my Baileys to re-live those days, all over again!

Well, what do you know eh! I've been trying to get in to post on page 13 for the last halfhour, but the door is bolted, but I got in here alright without a struggle. I just want to say,...this bug that's flying around is a wicked little b****r. I'm not feeling so good tonight,...I was better on Monday than I was on Sunday, I was better yesterday than I was on Monday and now I'm worse than I was yesterday. Confused? So am I. Ho! Ho! Ho! Hope 'M' is improving,...he seems to have had a rough time. I hope it's put him off cigarettes FOR EVER.

BG, Sorry to hear that your little grandson is poorly,...but the little fellows are tougher than us oldies and he will probably be up and running in a few days. Hope 'M' is improving,...damn it all he's had a rough old time of it hasn't he! Never mind, as long as he is 'cheeky' and has a smile on his face you'll survive. Oooooh! That looks odd, 'survive' 2 Vs in a word...don't come across that very often, or is it my old age slowing me down... mentally I mean? Ho! Ho! Ho!
Hope YOU are better too BG. Liz has had a dose of it as well, and just like the rest of us...she's been better one day, then worse again the following day. but keep ing.

Good Morning All! :-) Ooops I mean afternoon I have only just go up lol
I was up most of the night as I couldn't sleep, then when I did get to sleep the dog woke me to go out for a pee at 4.30am. Then up again at 7.00 to take my son to school and straight back to my bed. I'm so Lazy lol
I had a hectic day yesterday, Doctors, Shopping, Town and was shattered when we got home and had another migraine headache. Once I made tea and washed up I just smoozed on the sofa all evening. That's probably why I couldn't sleep.
Everyone seems to be so ill at the moment, where on earth do all these dam viruses come from?
But like Fussy says all keep Smiling

Just hope we can get some sleep tonight ,we were awake most of last night coughing . When oh when is it going to clear up .

BG, So sorry that you and 'M' are still no better. Get under the duvet and have an early night. As you say, it's no good seeing the doc as the usual treatment is paracetamol and stay in bed. Take care!

Oh Dear BG & M, I'm sorry you are so poorly, Hope your Daughter is looking after you well. Hows your Grandson doing? Has he gone back to school today?
Fussy How's you and Liz doing? I don't think any of us have been feeling in tip top health on here for a long while. I think it's because the weather has been so mild, It incubates all the bugs and germs. My neighbour said yesterday that years ago if you went to the doctors he would give you a tonic. I wonder what that was? All I know about is Sanatongon Tonic wine in the chemists I don't think it would have been that do you?
Where is Pauline???? Hope they haven't got the bugs as well?
For once I am actually feeling quite well (touch wood quickly lol) I have kept busy all weekend to avoid the smoking habit, so the house it nice and clean. This is day 4 now

Di, Glad to know that YOU at least are feeling better. BG and 'M' don't appear to be much better...going by her latest posting. It's a nasty old virus innit! Liz still has a nasty cough and headache off and on, but I'm feeling a little better today, but you never know what tomorrow brings with this damn bug. Not much news from Pauline either,...let's hope they are both OK.

I had the flu over Christmas and now Fussy & Liz and Moonraker & BG have been really poorly with viruses and Broncitis (can't spell that lol) We haven't heard from Pauline in days, so we don't know what's going on there!
Are you and the Fluffy one ok? Thought you had abandoned us.

We`ve been under the weather too,at the moemnt Fluffy sounds more like a frog than a gopher!Lol (I`ll probably get a thick ear when she reads that)I blame it on all that hanging around in wet damp churchyards Hope the rest of you will get well soon, roll on spring I say.

Hi Gravedigger Nice to see you back ,sorry you and Fluffy have not been too well with this rotten bug , it has no respect for anyone . I feel quite a lot better today but "M" is still pretty rough .
Strange your name keeps vanishing !!!!! You had better pay the bill .LOL
