Since my Computer conked out and I can't get at all the photos and other stuff that I've got stored on it I spent most of today finding some new Halloween stuff to decorate the site, but now for the past few hours that damn box has been popping up in place of some of the photos -- you know what I mean, the one stating that Remote Linking to images stored on a FREE site is forbidden -- except that it's NOT a blooming free site is it ! Just two days ago I forked out for the next year's subscription on it, so I really don't know why this should be happening again. I hope I'm not going to have another load of bother again like I had with them last year, because I don't think I can stand any more of that hassle

I don't mean THIS site by the way, I'm talking about my Home Site where all the images I use on this site are stored.

Ooooooooh! I know how you feel Pauline. You spend hour after hour doing this and doing that, and then the whole damn works starts to erupt like a bloomin' volcano.
I still believe this Snitz Forum lot needs a boot up the back-end. Get hold of that Padraig bloke, and threaten to wollop him on his head with a wheel-barrow if he doesn't sort out the endless snags that crop up here from time to time.
I'm sure this is running on reduced power,...if not, then why nearly every other website we latch on to...runs with almost instant response when nipping from window to window.

It's not his fault Fussy, this has got nothing to do with Forumco, it's that BLOODY 2cuk lot who are to blame for all of this
All the stuff that I use on here, the smilies and icons and backgrounds etc are actally stored in the files of my 2cuk website and for some reason known only to itself THAT site has suddenly decided to go berserk
At the weekend I tried to upload some new photos from my camera and noticed that I'd almost reached the limits of my file space, so I decided to upgrade to the next level, it costs a good bit more (around twice as much actually) but for the extra price you get much more that double the features. For instance, your webspace goes up from 1GB to 5GB, your Bandwidth increases from 10GB to 50GB and you get TEN times the storage space, 500MB file size instead of just 50MB, so it seemed like pretty good value for money.
Well I filled out the forms and sent off my payment, and sure enough my storage space almost instantly went up from 50mb to 500MB and I thought GREAT, now I can start adding the extra stuff I'd been planning and never got round to doing. But the last night -- as you can plainly see -- something went HORRIBLY wrong and I've got NO idea why. On top of the flaming mess you can see on here, when I checked on my Home site earlier today all the pages are now covered with those b****y Banner ads which you get on the Free versions of the site and I am HOPPING mad about it. My main site was never a free site, I started out with a paid site right from the start so I could add all the extra features such as slide-shows that you don't get with a free site. Then after a while I decided to add all my other sites to the main one so that THEY would all be Ad-less as well.
Now some damned idiot at 2cuk has gone and ruined it all. When I checked it this afternoon my Quota had reverted from the new 500MB to the former 50MB file size, and as if that wasn't bad enough, some of the files that were stored in there have been DELETED ! That video of Sophie and Sadie has vanished along with some of the stored pages that I was planning to add to the site when they were finished and I am absolutely GUTTED by it all.
I sent off two E-mails to 2cuk last night, but so far I've had no response at all from them, so I'm going to send them an even stronger one as soon as I get off here. When I contacted them last night I just had a couple of missing pictures, but when I signed in here today and saw THIS mess I couldn't believe my eyes, I was just about ready to murder them
What I don't understand is why some of the pictures have gone and some have stayed, or why they keep coming and going so much. For instance, that little barking dog that looks like Sophe disappeared and reappeared at least 10 times last night, one minute it would be there and the next minute it wasn't, so it seems to me that something VERY strange is going on here which needs investigating. I mean, if they were doing this because I hadn't paid them I could understand it, but since I HAVE paid them then why are these damned warnings about linking to free sites being forbidden popping up everywhere ? And if I hadn't actually paid them EVERYTHING would have been deleted wouldn't it ?
Oh I just can't figure out any of it and I'm getting a headache from trying, so I'll go and E-mail the ******** again now and hopefully I MIGHT get a reply sometime before Christmas. I really didn't need this at the moment, I've got more than enough troubles already without THIS too

Well! What a carry-on eh!
And it's a damn shame that you've lost some of those treasured pics of S and S etc.
Now, I've got an idea for you. To save you all the worry of losing important pics and documents, how about using a separate Zip Disc to store EVERYTHING of importance. I've got ALL my pics of pets, family,
holidays, garden pics, (which run into hundreds and hundreds) all saved on 4 Iomega Zip Discs. Each disc can take 250mb. So, it doesn't matter a hoot if my PC packs in, because everything is saved on my discs. I sometimes take as many as 20 or more pics with my camera two or three times a week, so I pop them into My Documents, and then transfer them into the Zip Disc which is completely separate.
Seeing as you get so much bloomin' bad luck with things, it would be the answer to that problem, and you wouldn't have the fear of losing valuable items. Have a peep at WWW.Iomega.com
Hope 2cuk will get up off their bums, and give their customers a fair deal.

Well everything seems to be back to normal again now, thank God I had an E-mail from them last night saying they'd now re-set my account and apologising for the inconvenience caused, so let's hope that's the end of the problem and that nothing else goes wrong from now on
I also managed to get the Video of Sopie and Sadie back and today I've also added a new and better one of them, click here if you want to see it:-http://paulinespatch.2cuk.co.uk/DogsVideo.html
Hope it works O.K. It kept getting stuck at first, but it seems to be running reasonably well now.

I've just phoned the Vets in Kilgetty to make an appointment to take Tabatha up tomorrow. I'm not sure what's wrong with her but I think it's her ears. I've noticed a bit of a whiff lately and then on Tuesday she tried to jump up on the worktop and missed. I thought at first she was just clumsy, but since yesterday I realised that she's having trouble balancing and she's been walking with her head tilted sideways. She doesn't seem ill in any other way and she's eating all her food, so let's hope it's something that can be easily cured.

My only worry now is that I'll be able to make it to the appointment on time as I've been spending a heck of a lot of time in the 'Little House' lately, which makes it very awkward to get out of the house. Last time I went to Kilgetty I missed two buses by having to go back in there and only just got out in time to catch the last bus Pete's lent me a crate to carry her in, but he can't take me up there as he's going 'Up North' tomorrow to visit his family and won't be back til next week, so I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and look for a very big cork

Glad things are sorted out Pauline.
Sorry to hear that Tabatha is 1 degree under, and hope you were able to make it to the vets. We also had to take Raffie to the vet this morning, as he hasn't improved since the treatment he has been on these last couple of months....But I'm afraid the news isn't good, the vet doesn't hold much hope, but to continue with the treatment and hope the little chap can last out a few more months. He's not showing any signs of suffering,...Liz sends him up to me (with a message around his neck) every night meowing me to come for suppies.
We wouldn't have him suffer atall, if he showed any signs of suffering we wouldn't hesitate to have him put to sleep. After all, he is 15, but has lost weight, but he gets about the house and the garden, and LOVES to be spoken to all day long and every day, and he talks back to us!!!
Let us know how Tabatha got on with the vets.

I'm sorry about your little cat Fussy, let's hope he confounds the Vets and goes on for at least another couple of years. That's the only bad thing with Pets isn't it, that they don't live as long as we do. Why can't cats and Dogs live as long as Elephants ? Tinker is 11 now, Thomas and Tabatha are 10 and Sophie and Sadie are 9 and I just wish they could all go on for ever.
Well thankfully I managed to get up to the Vets yesterday and she confirmed it was a very bad ear infection (which was what I'd suspected from reading my Pet books) combined with ear-mites. She said it had probably started out as a problem in the outer ear which had gone undetected and so had eventually spread down through the middle ear and finally into the inner ear.
She said she wouldn't give her ear-drops because the ear-drum was damaged and drops would just go straight through, so she cleaned out Tabatha's ears with cotton-wool soaked in something-or-other (you should have seen the gunge that came out) She also gave her an injection, and gave me a course of antibiotics to give to her, so let's hope they'll clear it up. She also gave her a treatment for fleas and gave me something to put on the other two cats and the Dogs (because we've had a really bad flea problem lately and the stuff I'd bought in the Chemist hasn't really worked at all) and I've got to take Tabatha back up on Monday so she can see how she's getting on.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not in there quite so long on Monday because I missed the bus back yesterday and had to walk home ! I wouldn't have minded the walk itself, but it's amazing how heavy that Basket felt by the time we got home Tabatha herself hardly weighs anything, she's a very LITTLE cat - most people think she's just a Kitten) but the combined weight of her and the basket felt like about half a ton after the first half-mile. It was quite a chilly evening too, I was really glad I'd decided to wear a fleece jacket; I'd been going to wear a lighter jacket because it had been a sunny day, good job I changed my mind,
I don't know what Tabatha thought about it, it was a really bright moonlit evening and there's a wire door on the front so she could look out and see where she was going, but she must have wondered what the heck was going on, especially when a car went past because she's not used to traffic. Every now and then I'd hear a little 'miaow' from inside the basket and I was talking to her for most of the time to reassure her, we must have looked a bit funny to the people in the cars (pity one of them couldn't have stopped and offered us a lift !) But I was so k*******d when we got home that after I'd had my tea I fell asleep in front of the TV (I think I must be getting old ! LOL !)
It's a damn nuisance about the buses. The Vet is open from 4.30 to 6.30, but I can't get there before 5'0'clock as there are no buses going up to Kilgetty between 2.25pm and 4.55pm. If it was earlier in the year that wouldn't matter as there's a bus coming back down at 6.25, but that stops in September and from now until March the last bus is at 5.25, so that gives me less than half-an-hour in the Vets (and that's assuming the bus isn't late going up, which they very often are) I only missed it by less than 2 minutes too, I was back out in reception sorting out the bill when I saw it whizzing past the door. Not being able to drive is a real pain in the **** sometimes The bill was a bit painful too, over 80 quid So that's cleaned me out until my next payment goes into the Bank -- good job I'm well-stocked up with food so at least we won't starve for the next week ! LOL !
Still, Tabatha seems a bit better today which is the main thing. She's still holding her head to the side, but I don't think it's quite as pronounced as it was, and she's brighter in herself and is moving around more. At the moment all three of them are lying on the settee together, which has disgusted Sophie and Sadie because it's a very small settee and there's no space left for them. LOL ! I should have insured them all shouldn't I, but I think it's too late for that now as they're all over the age limit for first-time policies, so if I get any more big Vets bills (which I hope I don't as I hope they'll all stay well) I'll just have to sell the house and move into the caravan

Glad you got to the vets and that Tabatha was seen to. But what extortionate charges Pauline! They seem to compare 80 quid to 80p these days. Of course, we know that the health and well-being of an animal is of prime importance. But I read in the press about a year ago,...an article on the high charges by vets, and there were strong objections from around the country....especially when the diagnosis and treatment was minor....as in your case for example.
Another little gag some vets use to send the price soaring, is when they suggest they keep the animal overnight for two nights say. That knocks the charges up sky high as well.
Must go. Someones calling me.
Back later.

Yes, I was a bit stunned when they told me how much I owed, I knew it would be expensive but I wasn't expecting it to be QUITE that much Although it wasn't JUST for Tabatha's treatment of course, it included the flea-drops for all three cats and two dogs, plus a huge Aerosol of Household flea-spray - that on it's own was around £13 -and I paid £6.99 in a Pet Shop for a much smaller one which didn't even work, so at least if this one kills the damn fleas I suppose it will be worth the extra.
(I'm still reeling from the shock though ! Bang go my treats for the next month ! LOL )

Pauline,
Yippee! Back to normal, no bloomin' code to fill in! Must have been gremlins around yesterday.

After you mentioned those extras at the vets, I suppose it could have caused a bit more cost,....BUT it still was an outrageous amount to pay. There are no two ways about it, they don't half 'up' the charges at the least excuse. I still think £80 is a hell of a bill for what was done. It's not just ME having a moan, it's been widely criticised in the press, that vets fees have shot up a staggering amount.

Yes, I had a look at your video. It's great, and the 'girls' look absolutely lovely,...and they look so happy......probably spoiled beyond thoughts.
I am so glad that you've got S and S and the pussies, 'cos they are such great company for you there.

Ho! Ho! Ho! I must say, the 'old bitch' at the end of the film bears no resemblance to Les Dawson, nor his sister.
So you can sleep easily on that score Pauline.
Ha! Ha! Ha! I can just see Les Dawsons' twisted facial expression when he used to fool around. He was a very funny guy.

Yeah he was funny wasn't he, he didn't even have to do anything, just the sight of him could have you in fits
Oh I'm tired tonight, I signed in here earlier on and then fell asleep before I got round to posting anything I woke up just before this laptop slid off my lap on to the floor I had to take Tabatha back up the Vets for her second visit yesterday, she's definitely improved a lot and thank goodness I managed to catch the bus back this time as my shoulders are still aching from last Friday ! When I got back I thought I'd take the Dogs for a stroll, I only intended to go as far as Back Lane, but they were enjoying themselves so much that I said O.K. we'll go a BIT further, then another bit further until we finally ended up in Wisemans Bridge !
We couldn't go on the beach as the tide was all the way in, with big waves breaking right up over the slipway. Sophie and Sadie were a bit surprised by that because the tide's usually been out whenever they've been down there, or at least only part of the way in, so there's always been a strip of sand to walk on, they just couldn't understand it last night when the beach had completely disappeared, they just stood there staring in amazement at the waves
It was lovely though, I love looking at and listening to the sea, I stood there for ages watching this dark grey mass surgng towards me and then the huge white caps as they broke over the rocks. Then if I looked to my left I could see the lights of The Wisemans Bridge Inn at the far end of the beach and this HUGE full Moon hanging over Amroth in the distance shedding a wide patch of silver light across the sea, it was fantastic. I wish we lived a bit closer to it so I could lie in bed and hear it every night. (We CAN hear it from up here, but it's muffled by distance and it's not the same as being right there next to it) But of course, I then had to walk back up the hill to come home, and I've never been great on hills even when I was a child
Today I went back up to Kilgetty again, I hadn't had quite enough money to pay the bill before. When John O'Connor had the surgery you got sent a bill at the end of the month, but now he's retired and the new Vets expect you to pay straight away, which I didn't know so I didn't have enough with me, but as Celeste the receptionist knows me (actually she and her husband are the excecutors of my Mother's will) she let me pay part of it and I said I'd post her a cheque for the rest, but I can't find my flipping cheque-book, so I took my Debit card up today to pay the remainder. I was going to go up on the bus, but then I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and take S and S for a walk at the same time, so we walked up and when we got there Celeste's husband Rob was there with their two Dogs Tufty and Tess who I hadn't seen for ages, so there was a lot of sniffing going on, LOL And Sophie and Sadie got some dog-treats from Celeste which they enjoyed.
Anyway, after I'd paid off what I owed I then popped across to the Chemist to get my Prescription in for next week, and then I walked down to the Co-op thinking I'd get a few quid from the cash-machine for emergencies, but the damned machine was out of order AGAIN, so we walked home. But instead of just walking straight back we went down Station Road (which goes under the bypass via the subway) and then under the railway bridge onto Errox Hill (passing Celeste and Rob's house) and on down to St.Issells Church, then up the other hill past Hean Castle and finally home. So after all that plus last night's walk I was absolutely shattered (I'm not as young as I used to be ! LOL !) But we all enjoyed it which is the main thing

Ooooh! You were brave to take a walk down to Wiseman's Bridge, 'cos it's a fair old route-march back up hill from there. How long does it take you from your house, - ambling along slowly I mean?
We were sat in the car just outside the Wiseman's Bridge Inn a few weeks ago, it's a lovely little spot. It's cwtchy, innit!
Yes, I can imagine it being a lovely setting, watching the mass of water gushing up the beach, with a full moon lighting up the area.
And the fact that it is not over populated makes it all the better.
The Mumbles is also an attractive little area, but it is swarming with people at night time - mostly youngsters.
Glad that Tabatha is better after her treatment.
I expect you WERE shattered after that long trek back. Still, I don't think it did you any harm,...we don't do enough trecking, do we.
We should do at least a 15 minute walk every day,...that's what we are advised by the experts anyway.

I don't really know how long it takes, I've never timed myself, I suppose it varies depending on which route I take and how fast I'm walking. One thing I DO know is that it takes a heck of a lot longer to walk back up than it does to go down !
To tell the truth I've never been all that keen on Wisemans Bridge. I like the side of it going down from Hean Castle as far as the slipway, but I've always disliked walking along the road from there to the Wisemans Bridge Inn, I don't really know why, but I just don't like the 'feel' of that area. It's O.K. when I walk along the beach, it's just going along the road that I don't like, it just sort of gives me the creeps. Funny innit ?
Can't say the walking did me any good either, I think I probably did too much of it. I had a very bad night last night, except for being tired I was O.K when I posted that message, but just after that my stomach started playing up something awful, I was in and out of the toilet for hours and then to cap it all I was as sick as a dog into the bargain, so I didn't get very much sleep until this morning. Then when I did eventually drop off I woke up with a b****y awful headache so I've spent most of today just sitting here feeling sorry for myself
I think it was combination of things really, my shoulders are still aching from carrying that Cat-basket all the way last Friday and my back and legs are aching from the walking. I also ate a bowl of Frosties for a snack before I went to bed. I know that sounds pretty harmless, but there are certain foods that just don't agree with me and Frosties are one of those things. Rice cereals are usually alright, it's the Corn ones that cause the problems. I know I shouldn't eat them really, but I LIKE Frosties better than the ones made from Rice and so now and again I give in to temptation.
I've also been eating some Coconut biscuits and Coconut tends to go through me like a dose of salts too, so I suppose it was partly my own fault
But it's very hard to give up the things you like. The problem is that most of the stuff I like disagrees with me and most of the stuff that DOESN'T disagree with me I don't like Perhaps I should just give up eating altogether, if I don't eat anything at all then it can't disagree with me can it ?

I'm flaming I typed all the following a half hour ago, and just as I was about to press Post Reply the b****y Broadband cut me off.

Funny innit, how one has a dislike for a particular part of the land around us. You probably have an inner sense of something in that area.
For example, perhaps you can foresee a little danger to Sophie and Sadie when treading that path in Wiseman's Bridge. That could possibly lurk in the back of your mind. As you know,...there's no doubt about it, many people are known to have, in one way or another been able to predict things that have happened at a later date, even details of the events being fairly accurate.
You mentioning feeling the after effects of eating Frosties before going to bed. Well, Liz also had the same problem a couple of months ago. She took to eating fruit and fibre late at night,- well, about 9 o'clock say, and she too had a headache, and shoulder pains, and generally feeling a bit weak. So she packed in that little habit, and felt better right away.
I mentioned the plight of a do-gooder on our thread last Sunday. He went to the rescue of a little girl who'd had her mobile phone stolen from her by 2 bigger girls. Having at one time been a Special Constable he detained the girl, and retrieved the phone, but events led to him having to go through all the usual rigmarole at the police station. Well, he was on the 'This Morning' rogramme today, so it was good to see him getting the well earned publicity.
The present Law is...up the creek!

Talking about likes and dislikes of West Wales, I personally have a strong liking for Parrog, mainly because it is a peaceful and tranquil place (at least, it WAS 6 years ago) and there are endless walks round Dinas Head, and the north side of the bay.
I also have a soft spot for Solva, (even though Polty is suspected to reside there.)
And I wouldn't say no to a couple of days in Fishguard itself.

I'm so glad you saw that moon as well! It's been winking in my front door the last 3 nights. Beautiful.. Sorry, actually last night was all fog, so it was the 3 nights before that.

We've been sick off and on here as well. Doesn't it wear you down?

I came downstairs to the computer this morning, and all my bookmarked pages were gone. The LOT! Thank goodness I'd had emails from quite a few sites lately!

Now, where COULD those bookmarked pages have gone to?
Innit funny, how the unbelievable happens from time to time.
I'll whisper it quietly,....has the PC been attacked by a younger member of the household, someone whose lightning fast fingers tickled the keyboard where the keyboard shouldn't be tickled?
That happened to me once. One of my grandsons, who was 11 at the time,
was intent on showing me his expertise,...he blew all my e-mails to kingdom-come,...only about 500 of them. Never seen a pip of them to this day.
Ho! Ho! Ho!

It's sort of nice when you think about it isn't it, we're living thousands of miles apart but we're all looking up at the same Moon every night. It makes us seem closer together somehow.
It also reminds me of the first line of the song 'I Have Dreamed' from 'The King and I', it starts off 'Alone and awake I gaze at the Moon, the same that shines on you' (I love that song)

Ugh, it's been a blooming horrible day here today, all wet and grey and gloomy It was so dark when I woke up that I grabbed the clock thinking I'd over-slept and it was evening, but it wasn't, it was still morning. Then around half-past-three, just before it really got dark, I looked out of the kitchen window and what was coming down wasn't just ordinary rain, I'm sure it was sleet. Hard to believe that less than four weeks ago I took the Dogs for a walk in the early evening and it was still bright sunshine
Ah well, never mind, only another six weeks or so to go until the shortest day and from then on it'll be all uphill again until next Spring

Fussy, I'd settle for anywhere in the Newport area, the Parrog, the town, up on Carn Ingli, or Dinas Cross, I wouldn't care as long as I was up there SOMEWHERE. As you say the views around Dinas Head are wonderful, especially Cwm-Yr-Eglwys. One day I MUST try to get more of my photos scanned so I can add them to the slide-shows on my site. What you see on my site are only a small fraction of what I've got in my albums.
In the meantime I found a new website on Newport recently http://www.newport-pembs.co.uk/ there are some nice photos on there in the galleries if you want to refresh your memories of the area.

Ooooooh! The autumn leaves are tumbling down on here, aren't they.

Yes, taking into consideration all the little goodies that are in abundance in the area of Newport Pemb's,...the tranquility and the endless views in the surrounding districts will take some beating.
I had a look at the link, and found it very interesting. There are quite a few historical burial sites around there too.
And Gregory Peck played a few rounds of golf on the links north of Parrog, when filming there,...the locals had a hey day, didn't they!

Pleased to hear Tabaths recovering but not so happy to hear that you're not so well yourself Whatever in that prescription of yours does'nt seem to be doing you much good so now that the moggy's been seen to you want to get yourself to the docs next and get a thourough check up.There's not much point looking after them and neglecting yourself is there, because who'd take care of them if something happened to you????

Dr Larry has spoken LOL

Surprise surprise! Didn't expect to see you Larry,...I've just scribbled a cross on the mantlepiece, to mark the occasion.
I suggest you have an early shift every morning,...then you can make a daily call on here M8. We can do with your woolly chatter Larry, 'cos it can get mighty lonely on here as you well know. Come to think of it,...where has Andy Pandy, and a few others disappeared to lately?
And Bob the boozer has only sneaked in once or twice too. I'll have to sort him out,...think he's jealous, 'cos I spoke to him in German the other day. Perhaps his mother-in-law has turned on him. He doesn't show it, but I think he's a little bit scared of her, you know.
Ho! Ho! Ho!

How old are you Larry ? I don't suppose you're anywhere near sixty-five yet are you ? I'm not being nosy, but I just thought that when you get to retire you'll be able to pop in and talk to us every day LOL

I suppose I'll have to give in and go to the Doctor one day, but I'm afraid of what he might tell me I had another bad day with my stomach yesterday, I felt b****y awful. It's been better today, but now I've got a stuffed-up head and a bit of a sore throat. Tabatha on the other hand seems to be as fit as a fiddle. I'd planned on having a Pork chop for my dinner today, so I took one out of the freezer and left it on a plate in the kitchen to thaw (with a cover over it incase Sadie decided to investigate it)
Well a bit later on I was sitting here watching the TV when I heard a noise coming from the kitchen, thinking Madam was after it I yelled "Get away from there Sadie and leave that chop alone", but as I got up to go and investigate I saw that Sadie was lying down doing nothing and as I went through the door Tabatha rushed past me like a bat out of Hell.
When I got to where I'd left the chop the plate was still in the same place and the lid was only a fraction out of place so I thought "Thank goodness for that, she didn't get to it", but when I picked up the lid the chop wasn't there, and when I looked around I eventually spotted it on the floor behind the Dog's bed ! How's that for gratitude eh ? I spend a fortune taking the little so-and-so to the Vet and as soon as she gets better she pinches my dinner (I told her that if she does that again I'll cook HER and eat her for dinner instead ! LOL )

Ho! Ho! Seems Tabatha is back 'on form'...sneaking up on the pork chop. Can't be much wrong with her if she streaks around the house like that.
So YOU'RE a pork chop lover as well then Pauline. I have also been a lover of the old pork chop for donkey's years,...pork chop, peas, and chips. It's the little meal that I have named...the 'Anytime Meal,' so when Lizzie asks me what I fancy for a nice quick meal, it's always that.
Sorry you've not been too good lately. Go see the doc,' it might be a simple little problem, like we all seem to get from time to time.
We two often have our off-days, but then the next minute we are galloping around as though there was no tomorrow.
Hope you feel better today.

Yes I do like a Pork chop now and then. I'm not a huge meat eater because whenever I do eat it I always feel guilty about the animals, and as you know, there are certain things such as Lamb and Veal that I never eat at all, but I like a bit of Pork now and then. I always used to have tinned peas, the Processed, Marrowfat kind. with Pork chop and chips (funny really as I would never eat tinned peas with anything else) but I'm afraid to risk eating peas these days because I know they'd only aggrevate my stomach even more
I'm pretty sure of what's wrong with me Fuss as I've had it on and off for over 30 years. It's all connected with the Colitis and my various other ailments and I KNOW that I should see the Doctor about it, but I'm so afraid that he might want me to go into Hospital again, and as the last time I was in there for a month who'd look after all the animals if they kept me in again ? I'm also scared that they might discover it's progressed into something worse, and I'm not sure that I want to know.
Yes, I suppose I will have to stop burying my head in the sand and go and get myself sorted out eventually, but I'm still trying to pluck up the courage to do it.

Querying Larry's age on Sunday?
I've got a rough idea of his age. Compared to me, I think I could safely say that he IS a 'spring chicken.' I think he's around the 38/39 mark, and boy oh boy, what would I give to be his age again!
I'd be willing to go without TV, computers, cars, buses, trains, (I'd bike it) cinemas, tap water (I'd trudge to the well,) I'd even go without my Baileys, 'onest I would!
Ho! Ho! Ho!

Yes, I can understand...your reluctance to go dashing off to see the doc.' It's a funny old feeling when being afraid of something sinister loitering inside the works. But, as I said before it may be some minor snag that can be put right. We both, (Liz and me) like you,...tend to put our pets uppermost in our thoughts should there be a need to leave them. We have never taken a holiday since the 60s when Liz started breeding chinchillas. We did take 2 holidays in 1978, but we took our 4 cats with us on both occasions because we were staying with a very close friend in Kingsdon Somerset. She was a Judge in the Cat Fancy, and she had 7 chinchillas in her huge cattery, so there was always room for ours as well. She and her hubby used to stay with us for a weekend when they were judging at the Cat Show in the Patti Pavillion here in Swansea. Sadly, Marion died in 1995, and her husband also passed away in 1997. They were the loveliest couple we ever befriended, and we miss them to this day.
Needless to say, they too put their pets first before considering any thoughts of ever leaving them, to go holidaying.
Must go,...Raffles is here, meowing me to come for suppies.
Toodlepip!

I haven't been away on holiday since 1978 either. I would NEVER go anywhere if I couldn't take my pets (which is part of the reason why I've never been abroad) Once, back in 1963 we even took my Budgie on holiday with us !
My stomach hasn't been too bad for the past couple of days, but it's started playing up again tonight. I think that might be because I ate some Grapes earlier on, I like Grapes but unfortunately they don't seem to like me It makes me laugh when I hear all this 'Eat five portions of fruit and veg a day to stay healthy' stuff. It might be healthy for some people, but if I ate that much I honestly don't think I'd live til the end of the week

I'm b****y
This is the 4th time I've had to type this since 3.30 this afternoon. As soon as I've clicked to post it I've been cut off. Each time I tried,...it was on my 'Things I Like' thread. So I'm trying it on this thread now, to see if it works.

Yeh, there was a big bluebottle flying around here yesterday too. We had to open all the doors to get rid of the b****r. The weather's gone mad, the people have gone mad, and the Law is upside down.
Fancy you having trouble with the heating again. Perhaps it was due to an uninvited visit from Polty. Mind, electrics do have a habit of playing up at the least little flip.
No, we didn't hear any thunder, but we may have slept through it, but Liz went down the road for a newspaper this morning at 8.30, and she saw a beautiful rainbow, so it could be the remains of your storm. It's been emptying down here this morning, so I couldn't carry on with my painting the fence.
It's a good job that Sophie and Sadie start howling at any noise that appears to come from outside your house. It puts a kind of 'frightener
on any uninvited intruders.
It reminds me of that time a few years back, when you took them for a late night walk through that tunnel in (was it Saundersfoot?) when one of them growled, and frightened the daylights out of those youngsters who ran like hell when they heard the growl in the darkness. I remember telling Liz about it at the time, and she couldn't stop laughing for a couple of minutes. SO funny!!!
BTW, glad that you are feeling a little better.

Here goes, for the 4th time!!!

It worked !!!

I'm wondering now whether my 'Things I Like and Don't Like' thread is too full up, and is causing a restraint on the electronics of 'posting,' on that particular thread.
Think I better 'call it a day' and not use it anymore.

Oh that was Sonny and Sam that time in the tunnel. What happened was that I'd bought Sam a choke-chain to see if it would cure him of pulling (it didn't !) and as we were going through the tunnel in pitch-blackness he pulled too hard which started the chain rattling and also made him cough, which echoed round he tunnel and sounded like somebody being choked to death in a cellar ! LOL ! I've nver seen anybody scarper so fast in all my life as those teenagers ! They must have gone at about 100 miles an hour
